The current Helloween includes all the 3 historic vocalists of the band Kai, the original singer, Michael Kiske, whom he himself hired after he almost blew out his vocal chords and Andy Deris, that replaced Kiske after he left. They are generally considered the first full blown power metal band and are certainly the creators of the continental power metal style, that is very neoclassical. For more of that german school power metal, from Germany, Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray and Avantasia, from Italy, Rhapsody of Fire, from Brazil, Angra and Manowar from the US, though they are slightly older even than Helloween.
You should do the old stuff, first album is more speed/thrash and the two after that are power metal royalty. The guitarist with the red guitar was the singer on the first album (Kai Hansen), the bald (Mikael Kiske) was the singer on the second album up until mid 90s and then the Iron Man fella (Andy Dreis) took over. It's nice to see them all making music. The bassist and long haired guitarist are origional members and still kicking 36 years later. Drummer looks young, the origional one sadly took his life a few years after leaving the band, his drumming is epic on the classic songs.
You should react to Blind Guardian " The Bards Song and Valhalla live at Wacken" Absolut Epic!! Blind Guardian is also a German Powermetal Band. Greetings from Germany.
Helloween has been through different singers and guitarists and they have all come together to tour and make this album. Great band. Keeper of the 7 keys is a 13 minute epic song live version is good too
This tour and record went under the name Pumpkins United as Helloween always had the pumpkin as a symbol... obviously. Kai Hansen was the original singer and was mostly playing guitar when they enlisted Michael Kiske. Kai Hansen left the band to form Gamma Ray and Kiske was replaced by Andi Deris. Now all the singers were back for the tour and record. Great stuff. You should check out Gamma Ray who is even better than Hellowen.
Michael Kiske is probably the best singer in the whole metal szene, check out his vocals at Timo Tolkki`s Avalon / The Land of New hope ... or even the actual live version of Helloweens "A tale that wasn`t right" ... also other Helloween songs like Keeper of the seven keys (also a really great pumkins united live version), I´m alive and all the other classic. This guy was 19 / 20 years old as he record this songs!
on my job, there is a radio. for usually that thing plays always pop songs. now that thing plays helloween 50 times a day up and down, the song "Best Time" (from the helloween album" : ) iam working now faster. my chef like it
Your room reverberates endlessly - fill the room with something, either with furniture or, if necessary, with empty beer kegs . Helloween is a German band by the way By the way, that was one of the worse songs by this band and you absolutely have to see them live - this is a really brilliant live band and you can absolutely see the fun and joy in them. Watch some Wacken live videos with them - they where headliners there.
They brought all their vocals back to the band. Now they are in fact very unique, very complete. They are great as a band! German not Swedish...😆!
Keeper of the 7 keys part 1 n 2! A must listen! Michael kiskie, n Kai hanson, defined what power metal was going to be!

This Band is so awesome. My absolute favourite.
I've saw them live 1998 as a supporting act to Maiden

This is the edited version, full song is 12+ minutes.
And well worth the extra time.
One of the best bands ever! Definitely do the songs Halloween, Keeper of the seven keys or How many tears live at wacken. All are EPIC.

Kai Hansen is one of the founding members of Helloween. But yeah, he left in early 1990's to form his own band Gamma Ray.
Executor is now my 2nd favorite starship

God of Power Metal.... Iron Maiden different
They are German from 1984
react to megadeth dystopia album:)
Heard it and too old now. We only do new stuff we haven’t heard before.
german guys
the single edit here doesn't remotely do the whole song justice.....all the "random" parts are all out of context
