Like he always wanted kids but never found a partner so he raises his nephews and nieces like they're his own and he was closest with her. The only one in the family who didn't judge him and made him feel loved. Just imagine three year old Mirabel throwing a tantrum and going to her uncle for a hug, or baby Mirabel screaming if anyone but her uncle tries to push her stroller.
This gives me the feel of "I don't mind if I was never thanked for what I did as long, as I did some good for someone." and it resonates deeply with me.

I have a feeling that if Bruno had a child he would never have gone into hiding, because no matter what anyone else thought or how he troubled people, he would have had someone who needed him nearby. Imagine if, after Encanto, Bruno finds and adopts a baby who is miraculously blessed by the candle with the gift of seeing the past. He could have a vision of the child's mother in need of help, just like Abuela once was, and go to help her. They fall in love, and he raises the child as his own. The family doesn't expect the child to get a gift, but he or she does. That being said, I like having Bruno as the uncle to Mirabel. It means she grew up with her mother and non-gifted father, not seeming to have anyone missing in her life...but then she meets an uncle who she really connects with, and *now* her family is complete. It shows how everyone is necessary in a family, even if every nameable role is seemingly filled (mom/dad, aunt/uncle, siblings, cousins). Edit: An alternative way for him to meet the woman would be to see any vision with her in it, and when he does meet her he recognizes her from whatever vision he had.
Bruno's part in the movie was beautiful, as he was a great counterpoint to Mirabel. He had a gift he didn't want, she wanted a gift to fit in. Your idea is cool though.
I keep thinking about how the miracle might work, and this had me thinking that maybe the magic candle didn’t bless the people married into the family because they were too old, not because they weren’t genetically related, so if Bruno adopts a child young enough, the child would be able to get a gift, because if it was because of being genetically related instead of age, they might have tried to give mirabel a gift after the first attempt failed.
I honestly dont know why people want Mirabel to be Bruno's daughter. Them being uncle and niece is what makes their connection beautiful and unique. Beautiful song, 10/10 would cry again.

I've never heard that. Mirabel is clearly Agustin's little girl. The apple did not fall far from that tree at all. I loved how in the end Agustin embraced Bruno along with all the others. I believe he sorely missed his brother in law.
He left the night of mirabels door ceremony remember? That's what caused him to leave. He went to his room, saw the vision, and then destroyed it and ran away to protect her.
There's a lot of comments saying Bruno should have a daughter or something along the lines of that. I think, considering they lived in the same house, and the rest of the family was always doing a job, including Mirabel's parents this could have been a song Bruno sung in the walls. We just didn't get to see that because most of the movie doesn't show Bruno, and this is a AU fan song. I interpreted this fan song as something Bruno could have song to Mirabel if giving the chance
I can imagine Bruno treated Mirabel the way he would have treated a daughter back before he left even though he was just her uncle. I can just imagine them being super close since Mirabel was born since her mom was probably often busy cooking or out healing the family and townsfolk with her food and her father probably had stuff to do too plus two other girls to look after as well as Mirabel and since Bruno’s gift wasn’t as appreciated as the others he probably had more time to spent with Mirabel. I can just imagine a tiny Mirabel running to her uncle when her sisters were being annoying or something or wanting him to comfort her when sad or scared.
Personally, I think if Bruno was to have kids, he should have 3 sons. Think about it Alma and Pedro and two daughters and a son Pepa and Felix had two sons and a daughter Julieta and Augustin had three daughters. If Bruno had three sons, it would even things out.

Bruno - this guy was definitely robbed of a song. I know everyone else is saying this but that’s because it’s true. He deserved his own song and barely got any screen time except towards the end. This song was written beautifully written and the ukulele fits so well somehow.

This is so heartbreaking. Bruno was robbed of a happier life for years and definitely deserved a solo song. I'm happy he got to be with his family again in the end, but still I'm upset that nobody ever apologized to him.

Omg after listening to this i realized they could of done an Andi Mack situation for Encanto. Have Julieta and her husband take in Mirabel as their daughter after she loses her biological mother/Bruno's partner (just like Abuela Alma lost Abuelo Pedro) and her biological father (Bruno) becomes ostracized by the family and community because of his visions and Mirabel's future. He always watching her and secretly rooting for her even tho she's being put through similar things like him. If Disney did that for Encanto I would love the possible family bonds created between biological and adopted parts of the family. Also it would give a chance for Bruno to have a kid too which he totally deserves in my opinion. We need to talk more about Bruno!!!

Además de que cuando Bruno ve el futuro de Mirabel, se pone muy mal y se muda a las paredes. Mirabel si sabe que el vive aún en la casa y se siguen hablando y ella le pasa comida. La pelea con la abuela Alma es mucho más fuerte y provoca no sólo que la casa se destruya también maribel comienza a literalmente romperse. Ella muere y Bruno se pone como loco y se pelea con Alma y toda la familia. El final es casi igual que en la película pero los sucesos para llegar al final son otros.

I'm sorry, but you had absolutely no right to pierce me right through the heart with this song. What the Fuck Man. No seriously, this song is so so so incredible that it could very well compete with the songs of Encanto themselves. For starters, the melody is beautifully composed. It perfectly fits the theme of a lullaby with how gentle and comforting it is. I adore each and every melody that showcases itself in the song, and the transitions between them are so smooth. The lyrics are wonderfully creative and carry so much emotion with their meanings. You wrote them beautifully. They match Bruno's sentimentality very well and the adoration for his familly is just pouring out of each lyric. The delivery was incredulously stunning. It's one thing to write and compose a song but it's another thing to sing it and just, god. I cannot emphasize enough what a beautiful job you did. I adore how you start some of the verses softly and delicately cresendoed with each lyric. The way you roll your Rs has me rolling. The emotion you pour into your performance such as when you exclaim "Ay, Dios Mío!" has me crying, it's so beautiful. Your diction, how you carry the vowels, your balence between a choir voice and a theater voice, everything is just so well done. Full marks, Kudos, everything. When I listen to music, I can feel the music in my body, and your song very literally feels like both a punch to the gut and like a lightness in my chest. This song is so well done. Thank you for this, you've very much made my night with this song (I say in tears). Just, wonderful job.

I do like this song, however I think it should be more for Dolores. The one who kept his secret of still being in the house for so long. The only one who seemed to sympathize with his gift instead of antagonizing it. They both had gifts that were difficult to handle and could cause damage to a family (Imagine hearing everyone and everything all at once. All the DRAMA) so she understands him better. Yes, he left to protect Mirabel, but Delores stayed to protect him. And since he's been protecting the house for so long, he's got to have known Delores knew and be grateful. Long story short I love Delores and my baby needs more love 🥺

I want to believe that in this AU, Mirabel isn't biologically a Madrigal, she was just some infant left on the side of the street that Bruno instinctively picked up and brought home but realized that the child would get nothing but criticisms from Abuela and so instead gave her to Julieta.
I think Bruno told everyone about the future and they all freaked out and shunned him, so he went to the walls. He has been watching his niece, Mirabel, grow up from the walls this entire time, and feels that she is the only thing he's done right. He feels sad that nobody seems to miss him. He wishes he could have helped her when she was younger so she didn't feel useless like he felt. He felt like nobody liked him, not even his own family. He is so proud of Mirabel, even though she didn't have a gift, and hated it when others wouldn't include her, more specifically in the photo on Antonio's birthday, where everybody but her and Bruno was in it, and that noone got her to pose with her siblings. Even Alma was in it and she has no gift! Literally the only thing she does is tote around a candle, magical or not. She might be the matriarch of the Madrigals, but all she does is carry around a candle. I mean, she even shunned her own son! If thats not abusive, I don't know what is. I imagine Dolores heard him sing this while in the walls, and burst into tears because she missed him so much and knew Mirabel would never know their uncle. I think everyone missed him, but were too afraid of him to admit it. I think when Bruno dissapeared, there was a depressive period in the family, and Mirabel was the only thing that made them feel happy at the time, because Bruno adored her even when she hadn't been born yet and he only knew about her because of his gift. Camilo used to shape shift into Bruno because he adored his uncle, but then he wnt missing and he turned into Bruno and everyone broke down. Camilo and his sister and cousins were really young so they were confused. Then Mirabel was born and they suddenly understood. Isa blamed Bruno leaving on Mirabel and everyone missed him to much to do anything about it. At the sme time Isa also adored Mirabel, so she was constantly conflicted. I think Bruno was the only one anybody told their problems too, like how Isa felt pressured to be perfect and Luisa felt stressed. He was the one who held the family together so everyone was heartbroken when he left. They all promised themselves to protect Mirabel because Bruno loved her so much when she wasn't even born. Mira was so kind just like her uncle, so when she wasn't looking, they would all break down. Sorry this is so long.
I could imagine Bruno singing this to Mirabel when she was a baby to help her fall asleep but then when he got exiled from the family and started living in the walls he started singing this to himself to reminisce about the past and how he was but then it would always end up with him in tears because the memory hurts him too much 💔 😢
I've had an idea for a fanfiction where Bruno meets a woman who more or less haunted by her past while desperately trying to raise her nephews and/or adopted daughter. Figured that the two would find comfort in each other. This song just opened up creative floodgates!

This AU could fit into the movie because when Bruno says “I got a lot of apologies I got to say…” it’s like he wanted it say sorry to his sister for dumping a baby on her when she all ready had Isabella and Louisa (probably spelled wrong😑) but she was fine with another baby.
Oh god I'm about to cry- This is exactly how Disney characters show their depth and impact us. This song enforces it so well. It seemed small in the movie, but now we appreciate Bruno like no other.
This movie was so intent on making Bruno comedic relief that they forewent conveying the gravity of his story. That scene at the end, when he’s hugged by Abuela? That’s his MOM. Why does he just say, “I feel like I missed something,” matter-of-factly like it’s no big deal? I would break down into tears!

If any kids animated Disney movie deserved to be 2 or 3 hours long instead of the monitory 1 hour and something minutes long then it would be Encanto. With Lin-Manual Miranda’s incredible talent with righting songs for specific people he could literally give every Madrigal family member a solo song but since this movie has to be an hour long like every other Disney movie (I think they do that because these movies are mostly made for kids and usually kids have short attention spans) they couldn’t focus on each character’s struggles like they did for Luisa, Isabela, and Maribel. This song is a perfect example with how many songs they could have written for Bruno considering his struggles and his connections with Maribel. This song is amazing and I’m definitely going to try to memorize it like I’m doing for every other song from this movie.

Honestly, minor script changes could make this fit. Adding a flashback where Bruno is shown to do readings on all his nieces and nephews secretly when they’re born. That would mean that he’d have known about the problem from the beginning until Abuela made him do another reading on Mirabel, and was protecting her the whole time.

I have a feeling that if Bruno had a child he would never have gone into hiding, because no matter what anyone else thought or how he troubled people, he would have had someone who needed him nearby.
Imagine if, after Encanto, Bruno finds and adopts a baby who is miraculously blessed by the candle with the gift of seeing the past.
He could have a vision of the child's mother in need of help, just like Abuela once was, and go to help her. They fall in love, and he raises the child as his own. The family doesn't expect the child to get a gift, but he or she does.
That being said, I like having Bruno as the uncle to Mirabel. It means she grew up with her mother and non-gifted father, not seeming to have anyone missing in her life...but then she meets an uncle who she really connects with, and *now* her family is complete. It shows how everyone is necessary in a family, even if every nameable role is seemingly filled (mom/dad, aunt/uncle, siblings, cousins).
Edit: An alternative way for him to meet the woman would be to see any vision with her in it, and when he does meet her he recognizes her from whatever vision he had.

Bruno's part in the movie was beautiful, as he was a great counterpoint to Mirabel. He had a gift he didn't want, she wanted a gift to fit in. Your idea is cool though.
I keep thinking about how the miracle might work, and this had me thinking that maybe the magic candle didn’t bless the people married into the family because they were too old, not because they weren’t genetically related, so if Bruno adopts a child young enough, the child would be able to get a gift, because if it was because of being genetically related instead of age, they might have tried to give mirabel a gift after the first attempt failed.
I honestly dont know why people want Mirabel to be Bruno's daughter. Them being uncle and niece is what makes their connection beautiful and unique.

This works beautifully even as an uncle-to-niece song in the canon. Like, maybe he only got to interact with her once as a baby and saw her future.
He left the night of mirabels door ceremony remember? That's what caused him to leave. He went to his room, saw the vision, and then destroyed it and ran away to protect her.
Bruno knew her until she was 5, the vision she finds later is the one he had the night of her ceremony
There's a lot of comments saying Bruno should have a daughter or something along the lines of that. I think, considering they lived in the same house, and the rest of the family was always doing a job, including Mirabel's parents this could have been a song Bruno sung in the walls. We just didn't get to see that because most of the movie doesn't show Bruno, and this is a AU fan song. I interpreted this fan song as something Bruno could have song to Mirabel if giving the chance
I can imagine Bruno treated Mirabel the way he would have treated a daughter back before he left even though he was just her uncle. I can just imagine them being super close since Mirabel was born since her mom was probably often busy cooking or out healing the family and townsfolk with her food and her father probably had stuff to do too plus two other girls to look after as well as Mirabel and since Bruno’s gift wasn’t as appreciated as the others he probably had more time to spent with Mirabel. I can just imagine a tiny Mirabel running to her uncle when her sisters were being annoying or something or wanting him to comfort her when sad or scared.
Personally, I think if Bruno was to have kids, he should have 3 sons.

Have Julieta and her husband take in Mirabel as their daughter after she loses her biological mother/Bruno's partner (just like Abuela Alma lost Abuelo Pedro) and her biological father (Bruno) becomes ostracized by the family and community because of his visions and Mirabel's future.
He always watching her and secretly rooting for her even tho she's being put through similar things like him. If Disney did that for Encanto I would love the possible family bonds created between biological and adopted parts of the family.

La pelea con la abuela Alma es mucho más fuerte y provoca no sólo que la casa se destruya también maribel comienza a literalmente romperse. Ella muere y Bruno se pone como loco y se pelea con Alma y toda la familia.
El final es casi igual que en la película pero los sucesos para llegar al final son otros.

For starters, the melody is beautifully composed. It perfectly fits the theme of a lullaby with how gentle and comforting it is. I adore each and every melody that showcases itself in the song, and the transitions between them are so smooth.
The lyrics are wonderfully creative and carry so much emotion with their meanings. You wrote them beautifully. They match Bruno's sentimentality very well and the adoration for his familly is just pouring out of each lyric.
The delivery was incredulously stunning. It's one thing to write and compose a song but it's another thing to sing it and just, god. I cannot emphasize enough what a beautiful job you did. I adore how you start some of the verses softly and delicately cresendoed with each lyric. The way you roll your Rs has me rolling. The emotion you pour into your performance such as when you exclaim "Ay, Dios Mío!" has me crying, it's so beautiful. Your diction, how you carry the vowels, your balence between a choir voice and a theater voice, everything is just so well done. Full marks, Kudos, everything.

I do like this song, however I think it should be more for Dolores. The one who kept his secret of still being in the house for so long. The only one who seemed to sympathize with his gift instead of antagonizing it. They both had gifts that were difficult to handle and could cause damage to a family (Imagine hearing everyone and everything all at once. All the DRAMA) so she understands him better. Yes, he left to protect Mirabel, but Delores stayed to protect him. And since he's been protecting the house for so long, he's got to have known Delores knew and be grateful.

I want to believe that in this AU, Mirabel isn't biologically a Madrigal, she was just some infant left on the side of the street that Bruno instinctively picked up and brought home but realized that the child would get nothing but criticisms from Abuela and so instead gave her to Julieta.

I think Bruno told everyone about the future and they all freaked out and shunned him, so he went to the walls. He has been watching his niece, Mirabel, grow up from the walls this entire time, and feels that she is the only thing he's done right. He feels sad that nobody seems to miss him. He wishes he could have helped her when she was younger so she didn't feel useless like he felt. He felt like nobody liked him, not even his own family. He is so proud of Mirabel, even though she didn't have a gift, and hated it when others wouldn't include her, more specifically in the photo on Antonio's birthday, where everybody but her and Bruno was in it, and that noone got her to pose with her siblings. Even Alma was in it and she has no gift! Literally the only thing she does is tote around a candle, magical or not. She might be the matriarch of the Madrigals, but all she does is carry around a candle. I mean, she even shunned her own son! If thats not abusive, I don't know what is. I imagine Dolores heard him sing this while in the walls, and burst into tears because she missed him so much and knew Mirabel would never know their uncle. I think everyone missed him, but were too afraid of him to admit it. I think when Bruno dissapeared, there was a depressive period in the family, and Mirabel was the only thing that made them feel happy at the time, because Bruno adored her even when she hadn't been born yet and he only knew about her because of his gift. Camilo used to shape shift into Bruno because he adored his uncle, but then he wnt missing and he turned into Bruno and everyone broke down. Camilo and his sister and cousins were really young so they were confused. Then Mirabel was born and they suddenly understood. Isa blamed Bruno leaving on Mirabel and everyone missed him to much to do anything about it. At the sme time Isa also adored Mirabel, so she was constantly conflicted. I think Bruno was the only one anybody told their problems too, like how Isa felt pressured to be perfect and Luisa felt stressed. He was the one who held the family together so everyone was heartbroken when he left. They all promised themselves to protect Mirabel because Bruno loved her so much when she wasn't even born. Mira was so kind just like her uncle, so when she wasn't looking, they would all break down. Sorry this is so long.
I could imagine Bruno singing this to Mirabel when she was a baby to help her fall asleep but then when he got exiled from the family and started living in the walls he started singing this to himself to reminisce about the past and how he was but then it would always end up with him in tears because the memory hurts him too much 💔 😢

This movie was so intent on making Bruno comedic relief that they forewent conveying the gravity of his story. That scene at the end, when he’s hugged by Abuela? That’s his MOM. Why does he just say, “I feel like I missed something,” matter-of-factly like it’s no big deal? I would break down into tears!

If any kids animated Disney movie deserved to be 2 or 3 hours long instead of the monitory 1 hour and something minutes long then it would be Encanto. With Lin-Manual Miranda’s incredible talent with righting songs for specific people he could literally give every Madrigal family member a solo song but since this movie has to be an hour long like every other Disney movie (I think they do that because these movies are mostly made for kids and usually kids have short attention spans) they couldn’t focus on each character’s struggles like they did for Luisa, Isabela, and Maribel. This song is a perfect example with how many songs they could have written for Bruno considering his struggles and his connections with Maribel. This song is amazing and I’m definitely going to try to memorize it like I’m doing for every other song from this movie.

Honestly, minor script changes could make this fit. Adding a flashback where Bruno is shown to do readings on all his nieces and nephews secretly when they’re born. That would mean that he’d have known about the problem from the beginning until Abuela made him do another reading on Mirabel, and was protecting her the whole time.

This song literally makes me think that Mirabelle is Bruno’s daughter and after Bruno disappeared Julieta raised her as her own. That why she loves Mira so much. Mira reminds her of her brother.
