  • James and Paul took time out while recording the latest Cadence Fishing TV video to discuss the CP800 Margin Pole.
    .
Developed as a super strong margin pole at an amazing price. This pole will prove very popular with anglers fishing for big carp on commercials and also when targeting big fish on natural venues like powerful rivers. The pole is amazingly strong but also very well balanced and stiff at its full 9m length. The CP800 fully interchanges with the CP2000 and CP1000 poles. This make our pole range extremely versatile and allows anglers to build up the required pole package with top kits, extensions and mini extensions.

Hello James! Congratulations for your, as always, very informative presentation!
I understand that CP800 is meant to be used with the elastic, but would it be totally wrong if someone uses it as a stronger whip with a longer line?
Being very lightweight even at 9 meters, and, perhaps, with a top 2 or top 3 match kit, if that gives some more elasticity in comparison to the power kit, I wonder if CP800 could offer some extra stiffness and power in comparison e.g. to your CP200 whip product.
Particularly, I have a specific style of fishing in mind that we are practicing in Greece, which is float fishing in sea from rocks in wavy conditions, using lines in bigger diameters and strong whips that have enough power to lift up fishes of considerable size, sometimes even without using the net (e.g. white sea breams up to 1 kilos or mullets even larger). As a margin pole that can be used to fight much bigger freshwater species like carps that weigh several kilos, even with the elastic, I wonder if CP800 could handle situations like the one I describe as well, without the elastic. I would really appreciate your opinion on this.

Waiting for the mini extensions to come back in stock, great pole in its own right. So versatile 👍

Hi James and Paul. James you helped me last year sort me out my cp800 which I love..only managed to use it a couple of times but once I recover from open heart surgery which has been a complete shock,I'll start using it much more!!! At the moment I'm not looking at getting longer pole but is there in the future a chance to make this margin pole slightly longer to say 10 or 11mtr?
