When i was a kid like 6th grade i was learning about the ww2 Japanese camps in the usa, but my tutor told us that it was a very accommodating and nice place, and so one day in class we were asked what to do with immigrants and i said we should putt them in the same type of camps the Japanese people were in for ww2. I remember the ammount of thought and effort i putt into the response and then i shared it proudly to the class only for the teacher to tell me that the camps were really terrible and it was a bad time in American history. For days i watched hypnotizing videos on youtube on how to forget something because it ate away at me that i could suggest something so harmful, and i felt i was being judged for having that opinion, my heart sank and i had cold sweats for the entire day and for weeks every time I thought about it i would think about how it would be better if i just didn’t exist
The double observer fear of judgment is so true. I remember backing out of the driveway and almost hitting a couple joggers on my way to school. I was so ashamed that I kept under the speed limit the whole way and didn’t tell anyone except my mom a few days later. Our neighbors Emily (a few years older than me) and her dad came over. She told the same story of her doing that recently, but she told it lightly/jokingly. I felt obligated to tell I did the same thing to make her feel better, but my telling of the same thing was like a serious confession and it was so a w k ward. Then Emily added that she rolled down her window afterward to apologize to so-and-so and her kid. I realized I was a total a** that didn’t acknowledge them at all 😭. Can you guess my type? 😂
No, I'm Te, and I would have shared my own story to make the other person feel better as well. That's an anecdotal thing you're going off of there. All we can maaaaybe be sure if is that they're a decider.
I can see the logic in y’all’s analyses (decider, possible Fe), and true one anecdote isn’t actually enough to tell. I haven’t been officially typed, but I think I’m an ISFP.
This helps remind me not to roll my eyes internally when I see IP or EJ having some "big" realization about people or society before my eyes, announcing it to me like I didn't know already. Mean-while, I feel like I'm in the deep-end watching them slowly creep away from the shallow-end still. This is probably how they would feel about swimming in a literal pool with me.

Great vid. Though not sure that listing sensory facts is a fullproof indicator if being a saviour sensor. Many inituitives learn to pay more attention/respect to the sensory, as this is often the best/only way to get your point across

Se is more like "curiosity killed the cat" thing. Jonah's experience is not entirely due to a "missing info" case i would say because Se as a fxn will try to test the boundaries of Sensory experience first - which leads to the messy chaos they usually end up with - rather than refer or rely on the Tribe-Self dynamic to ascertain the Ni meaning or end goal of the sensory experience. His probably ESxP. On the other hand, Deciders IxxP/ExxJ's, tend to understand the world in a fixed N-S dichotomy which are not "experiential" but rather "relational" - since they rely mostly on human interactions to define reality. Adios! xD
I think that his story is about lack of Se - ENP. He didn't get enough info on how other people experience that beach - to know to be careful. ESP would get that info, and then do it anyway, so they can have their own experience to judge it against. And his magazine is about demon Si and lack of Se - he had self-image (Si), that he didn't update for years (demon Si), and he didn't know his worth - how his physical look compares to how other people look (Se). And he interviewed people to collect their Si stores about their own self-image. Which is Se - collecting Si. And he did it now as an adult and not all the time as ESP would.
kind of looks weird when Jonah is reading the paper and you guys go "what the hell just happened" or at least talk about it like that, like it's so obvious guy just didn't have or couldn't remember the right words to express the answer in the question properly, but there was the magazine, where he had plenty of time to reflect and say exactly what he wanted and felt those words depict what he wants to say way better so he reads it. And I mean me listening to this also felt like, great he read it, as what he said before, didn't even come close, and the intonation and all that doesn't really matter, he depicted a lot of emotion through words lol... so this "obligated to give sensory" kind of honestly doesn't seem like it at all lol, it was more about feelings what he wrote there and said... Sometimes i listen to some of these explanations you guys say and it's almost cringe like, makes me think that you have a missing brain cell in these kinds of situations, but I guess maybe you do get the point and are just trying to squeeze things into your framework... The idea that he wipped out some sensory paper and read the words i guess is something an NF wouldn't be automatically reaching to do, if that's what you're referring to...
Hard agree. Forcing everyone into the mould of summarising up front makes the world a duller place. Plenty of consumers enjoy getting insight into a creative person’s process. Jonah Hill is more successful than most people on the planet because he has the charisma and talent to make his content compelling even when he’s reading it in a monotone. That’s why Ellen let the moment ride - she knows her job.
Oh this is confusing. I have always typed as ENFP and we thought my husband was ISFJ but he’s the one who can’t stand to be embarrassed. One thing that was definitely cleared up: I’m not crazy for thinking it was spelled “Judgement”!
You missed the whole thing. He was doing an Ne exercise asking others to share their memories, which is where introverted sensory demon comes in. He is an ENFP. We always have a good joke, usually self-deprecating. You totally missed it. Quit typing videos. They cannot correct your misapprehensions. Jonah lays out options for the tribe and sources his own memories in doing so. Ne/Fi, He projects his emotions rather than reacting to the emotions in the room. He knows things rather than fixating on tearing apart every little detail.
But this is the thing, I can very much consume or take in ST, but I will very much convey my conclusions or style of communication, in Ni form, is their a such thing as bouncing back and forward between these functions evenly. ST is for my need of certainty and giving validity to my Ni.
I'm not sure I understand how this all works? Is there a video that explains the demons, and heroes and all the things? Do you think Jonah would have gone into reading the whole thing if not given the magazine? He was on his way to just explaining. Right?
Sensory reading stuff could also be happening in a demon state, which suggests iNtuitive saviour. But in this case, he was in a calm state, so S saviour.
Single observer wrapped in barbed wire chaos description sounds a lot like me :O I haven't been typed by OP but in MBTI I am an ENFP. But maybe I'm not tho because we always type ourselves upside down? And everything is backward? So if I recognise myself in a description, even if it's the problems, does that mean that those are my middle functions and REALLY I'm a double observer because my Ne/Si I can see? But, considering how chaos seems to follow me everywhere, I'm consistently aware that the chaos is my Achilles heel but most of the time it feels like it comes out of nowhere, that description rings relatively true.
The way you are thinking about the type you got and questioning the type you got and considering the possibility that you may have typed yourself backward tells me you probably are a savior Ne.
@@findingninno2 Reading your comment makes me feel validated and also suspicious of myself because what if I'm doing it because I know that that is how a Ne dom would act? The problem comes when you've been casually interested in MBTI theory for years and because you know the type descriptions so well you find it difficult to separate head knowledge from actual authentic behaviour. Is this behaviour a byproduct of my testing as an ENFP fairly young, feeling validated and understood, and absorbing that into my identity? Or is it fact? But maybe this is the single observer missing information freakout they are talking about in the video. IDK, personality science is interesting but because of the self-reporting nature it's hard to get an accurate read on yourself, I guess this is why they advocate for getting someone else to type you.
