I always extend the legs on whoever will be the legs on my combiners. It gives them proportions closer to classics prime, which I like. It makes some poses impossible, but I think it's worth it to get rid of those stumpy looking shins. And I'm not planning on making anyone do an iron man pose anytime soon, so I can deal with the instability.
Hey bro!! Great review as always!! I did the same thing with the guns from Bruticus and the color pops so much more so I swapped them. now Defensor has grey blasters with cool colors. I send you a pic. Stop motion is, as always, incredible!!!
still think Motormaster should have been a remold of this since the truck forms the legs in both combined and bot mode, plus it would have worked SOOO much better than the original version
great review and i like the details on your figure, hostspot is a great figure in itself both in robot and torso mode granted the vehicle suffers from the scale. however my real issue with this mold or any other figure that share this particular mold is the right hip for the combiner torso which it doesn't tab in place properly because the hip is to open up in comparison to the left one. both my defensor and bruticus shared the same issue and im expecting victorion which is on the way to have the same problem so ill be fixing here as well. looking forward for your defensor review, also subcribed to you.
huh. what are the odds you had that twice? I haven't had that issue for any three of the figures, though pyra magna has her own issues that are annoying in of themselves
i know right, i wish that hasbro would pay attention to there quality more as oppose going crazy with the gimmick of making every transformer a combiner like crazy. the defective hip is common with this mold however as well people had mention some of theres don't have the issue so is belive that one of the assembly line has the defective ones while the rest has the better ones. you're very lucky to get the better ones, as for me i went with a exactknife to fix it( stupid extra peg-post.) and now it tabs as intended like a charm.
the only thing I dont like about this mold is that you have to spin the legs around, why not just have a pelvis/waist swivel, the wheels look better on the out side not the inside

I'm trying to imagine how that would look. I sort of agree, but vehicle scale would just suuuuuuck
I know but i don't care as long as the arms can stay in place
Nicely done.
what's the deal with franken seeker?
Can you try to extend the ladder
Whoa, you have CW Scattershot and Victorion?
have the former, sokd the latter
Will you review any of the Titan's Return figures?
most soitenly
wonderful review, despite my displeasure with the combiner wars line say for devastator. hope if you can, please do warbotron
I doubt I'll ever come to obtain it, but you never know
Hopefully, in my opinion its a far superior set to the combiner wars one and especially brutiskitles
Could you review combiner wars Optimus Maximuss or combiner wars bruticus next
Please
Optimus Maximus can be summed up with review 72, with the onlt difference being heads and colour.
I'll get ti bruticus eventually

Kind of funny how you had Optimus's butt on fire.
well somebody had to take the heat = P

Why does Optimus have firecrotch? He need some penicillin!
why does everyone think it's his crotch? his butt! his metal buns are roasting

You do realise that you are meant to prime polypropylene plastic before you paint it.
