In terms of craftsmanship, I consider this her best outing of this song I've heard. It's a song that could draw you towards it from a block away. It's alluring and compelling. Sohyang and rock - her family's CCM band POS performed primarily light Christian rock with R&B, jazz and pop elements; and also performed some gospel. Sohyang's "It's Only My World" shows how she performs heavier rock - powerful, punching the notes but not raspy or shouty or growly. (Some may insist POS is her husband's family band but all are very close and consider each other family not in-laws.)
Wouldn't it be great if she put out a jazz album one day? She is as good a jazz singer as anybody out there. If she can sing like that with just a keyboard accompanying her, you know she has a god-given talent.
I agree. With jazz she can relax and showcase her amazing vocal techniques without having to feel exhausted at the end of the performance like she did with Everyone, Bridge over troubled water, Dream, I have nothing, Lean on me and Arirang Alone. These songs must took so much out of her.
Those others are not her backup. They are each soloists waiting their turn to sing. Some times they all join in and sing together, but they usually have a song of their own to perform.

You’ve got to check out her doing a rock song “It’s only my world” where she switches her clear, bright timbre to a more dark and gritty one.
I like Begin Again version alittle more because she put more emotion into it.
