I notice a common pattern with people fighting steve. They'll win very dominantly early on, but then they become a bit complacent and give steve time to breathe, and when that happens it's already over. Unfortunate to see.

Seems that NA is the only region without the num 1 player using Steve rn (from the largest regions anyways). With Sparg0 and Sonix competition is a lot harder for Steve players there it seems
There is no one on Acola's Level in NA and Crepe sale is relatively new being number 1 is exactly like Onin a couple years ago, players just have to adapt to him
Tbf if we consider both Japan and Europe, Acola et very much contested by Miya and Gluto is definitely not out of the picture in Europe, despite the horrible match up, they are not on an un contested level either. But you are right Steve do be steving is most of the world.

I think mental has a lot to do with it too. Steve is an incredibly taxing character to play against
