When this video started and I realized what it was all about, it didn't seem like the kind of thing I'd stay tuned to watch. I have to admit, I was smiling from ear to ear for the entire hour. Just a good group of people having a great time, and it's contagious. Thanks for the laughs!
I took place in the largest Catan game! It did not take days, they basically split it into groups of 4 that played normally. But you could trade with your outside neighbors, and it was seafarers so you could go to other islands.
@@joshoxborrow2314 Yup! To be considered a legitimate game there had to be a winner. Which was someone whose kids were just trading everything to them, but 🤷♂️ Around an hour? They were doing fairly rapid turns. It was at GenCon, so it was around a long panel time.
*Big Jig IV* German publisher Ravensberger still continues to sell what they call the world's largest jigsaw puzzle based on memorable Disney moments which retails for $600. If Quinns were to replace all the water in the plumbing of his house with every singe piece of the jigsaw puzzle, and then showered until all the puzzle pieces were dispensed from the shower head, how many hours would Quinns be in the shower assuming nothing else in his house hold was dispensing the puzzle pieces (sinks, the washing machine, toilets, etc.)?
Quinns is so quintessentially English. Kellen is so incredibly American. I love it. They could be an exhibit, "What people think people from England and America are like."
This entire video is gold. Had me laughing so much! Looking forward to seeing more collabs in the future-Tom absolutely killed it on the latest BGB podcast episode too.
@@bruitist The last one they doubled their points, Quinn said 3 but it was really 6. Unless I utterly misheard. Not sure where the other 3 are missing though 🤷♂️
@@bruitist I don't know the exact count, but it sounded like Quinns missed that BGB used the doubler on the final question. Should've been +6 points for that one.
Idk how proud I should be of this, but I literally (avoiding spoilers if you haven’t watched the whole thing) was thinking the EXACT same answer as SU&SD on the TTR question and was feeling so confident that I would double my points if I was playing. YOU, random people watching this, I know you’ll be proud lol.
Either Quinns got Austria mixed up with Austria-Hungary or his knowledge of European geography comes entirely from WWII boardgames set during the Anschluss period. I'm not sure which is worse.
This is fun. Dunno if it's just the accents, but it feels a lot like a British panel show a la QI with all the banter. Love it. Maybe y'all should pitch something to BBC.
Holy crap! Didn't know about Board Game Barrage before but was listening and....they gave SUSD Tastykakes! And shouted out Philly sports! Gotta support the home team! (And, if SUSD was not aware of Gritty previously, I hope you introduced them to him.)
Quinns said a couple of wrong things about original Dungeons & Dragons. It wasn't just dwarves who had level limits. So did elves and hobbits (later halflings). Also 'dwarf' wasn't a class.
I think he is mixing up original 1974 Dungeons & Dragons and the 1977 Basic Set which most people miss remember as original D&D, but I have no idea where he got the idea that only dwarves had level caps. Edit: Just looked it up and what it looks like happened is that he mixed up the idea of Dwarf as a class from the Basic Set and the level cap of 6 they had in Original Dungeons & Dragons. But still no idea why he though they were the only ones with level caps, especially as Hobbits have the even lower cap of 4.
Quinns, I have to get it off my chest. I'm sorry. But the moment you start to notice that so much of your humour is based on making your friends feel uncomfortable, or bringing them down, you see it too much. It's just not ... nice. Love everything you all do though, but I can't unsee it anymore.

Such an entertaining panel! Really loved seeing the collab with Board Game Barrage!

Man, my favorite board game creator crossover
47:10- I've read the Bohnanza manual- and I recall that at some point it does just read "Beans beans beans beans..." forever.
I love the banter between these two groups.
I've been listening to BGB for at least a year and have never seen what they look like...I was way off in my mind!

They should!

I love that you used "quintessentially" to describe Quinns. Just *chefs kiss* perfect.
One way to stop the " 1 to infinity" strategy is to play with at least 3 teams, and eliminate the guess with the highest range.
Or, alternatively, you could counter that by saying 1 to googolplex, always getting 3 points whilst they get 1.
Different infinities can be bigger than others. This would require a host with a degree in math.
@@charlesvalentine9638 So let Matt host the next one, got it.
I mean the whole game makes no sense, why not just pick a number and the closest wins?
Also love Quinns blaming the teams for picking boring questions, after he wrote all the questions.

agreed! It was the best of the 'peanut gallery' guest appearances. I was excited after every round of picks to hear what Tom had come up with.
Weird putting a face on the BGB crew after having listen to them for years...
Has Quinns just said, that Austria doesn't exist anymore?
You didn't hear? It was all over the news a while ago. They had to foreclose because Covid-19 stopped many tourists from visiting.
:)
@@freierfieserfriese foreclose means?
