    I believe due to the huge number of divorces over the past decades the effects on young boys is tough they dont have a dad around and when they get to teen yrs moms really cant be the right guide for them...with girls they dont have a strong father figure to tell them no...they can't relate to much....thus we have damaged people that seem lost afraid and alone. Now they try to date but there is no basis to stay together for they grew up without the complete home. My parents were married 50 yrs...they never once ever cursed.....Mom Italian dad from Ireland first generation to the US.

      women as mentors are not relatable to men because the experience is so different socially. women assume men experience being treated with attention and good faith when in general are granted neither. we live a harsher less supportive more competitive life overall where women rightly assume others will be there to catch them and support them. hence women cannot help their sons or partners. the strategies that work for them can actually make a man's situation worse.

    I think the effects of childhood 'trauma' is being overstated these days. Most of our behaviour has a genetic component

    • @rjflores438
      @rjflores438 Месяц назад +5

      The genetic component may make you react more negatively to adverse childhood events, but adverse childhood experiences definitely have a massive effect on peoples adult lives.

    • @josephl9619

      @@rjflores438 yes a mixture of nature, nurtureand also personal choice. But too many people these days put everything down to trauma, which is massively overstating uts effects

    • @elcapitan6126

      unfortunately the culture we're raised in has a massive impact on behaviour. it can take several generations to shake off some of the more destructive patterns and cycles.
