Thank you so much for this detailed review, I’m stuck between the Columbus and airtop. Both simple and easy to setup/tear down camp, but the straps of the airtop is pretty much my only complaint vs the ease of the single clamp on the Columbus.

The Overlanders great info and advice, thank you. I’m 6’2” so I’ll definitely get the xl Columbus, but I’m curious of the openings/doors.. do they zip or Velcro on the bottom? I’m curious how they’ll do in stormy, heavy winds and rain

@@forkedroad hi good question - the canvas door has a double flap at the bottom, the outer flap sits outside/over the tent base to shed water, the inner flap tucks in between the mattress and the base of the tent. Likewise the fly screen is long enough to tuck in there - so no water nor wind nor insects can make it into the tent. The top/sides of the doors are zipped. One nice thing is the availability of spare parts through Autohome - even the mesh doors can be bought and zipped in if a replacement is needed.

gday that's a small 130cm width. The Airtop in the later review is a medium 145cm width. Both in the standard 210cm length (230cm available in Columbus and the wind-up Maggiolina). Cheers !

Hi there, what thickness is the mattress in millimetres? I can't seem to find the details of this?

Does the ladder fit inside the tent when closed? Thanks a lot for the input.

@@sylvestros I eventually bought one myself. The ladder definitely fits in even with a quilt and all bedding including 2 latex pillows. Very tight though but it fits. However, I strongly recommend you upgrade it with one of those collapsible ladders. Easier to carry elsewhere and a bit safer to extend....

@@juanmonico8788 ti upgrade? The standard ladders is not collapsible?

@@sylvestros the standard ladder IS collapsible in 2. The ones I mention collapse much smaller.
