The closer to elevators, the more foot traffic noise that you have though. I have heard kids running up and down the hallway, so I prefer more forward or more aft for quiet factor.
We always take a room next to the elevators and Never hear anyone being loud. I don't hear anyone being loud at any elevator, to be honest. People just stand there, not even talking, waiting for an elevator. I hear people always saying to noisy by the elevators and even at hotels no one is ever talking or being loud they just stand there staring up to see what floor it's on. People are more loud walking down the halls than at an elevator.
