19:00 Wasn't looking at the screen at the time but knew Reflect Phys + MegaTen Joke meant those damned Arahabaki. Thanks for the chuckle when I rewound to confirm.
The only place I’ve ever played this was at a game store for a few minutes. I know there’s emulators but watching someone play on original hardware wasn’t expected
Wow, that final boss strategy is cool. I played this game on emulator last year, and that final boss is a real huge difficulty spike! Glad it can be cheesed like this, haha.
The Virtual Boy is Good, Actually and this is definitely one of its best, along with the all-timer pack-in Mario Tennis and the GOAT: Galactic Pinball.
Additional fun fact: my PB on this game sits at something like 14 years. I played it when I first got it during the VB fire sales, but didn't finish it for many, many years (because, go figure, I'm a bit of a collector and had a lot of other games and consoles vying for time and attention).
This game honestly looks amazing. The pixel art is just top-notch.
VB Wario Land is an underrated gem.
i love this game played the shit out of it as a kid ❤

Yo I got it too! Those guys were so annoying in Digital Devil Saga!
A real shame this never got ported to the 3DS
Thanks for explaining those jarring screen transitions for the 5 of us who played this at home 😂
Hang on isn’t Virtual Boy the first VR headset gaming headset?

Why is this game so scary
I never understood the eye strain or headaches people associate with the consol. I never had any issues.
Did anyone explain how their playing VB games w/o the headset? I remember someone made some hardware that plays VB console style, is this it?
I am wondering how they are playing this as well? It was answered at ~1:45
They explain it in the run. They are playing it on original hardware with a capture device that records one lens
I'm realizing now I haven't properly seen a VB game in like...ever? This actually looks pretty cool (when it's not strapped to your face at least)

Also, from your mouth to god's ears: what a shocking waste of potential that the 3DS Virtual Console didn't have a full range of VB ports.

i do love that gdq uses real hardware and not emulation
All hail the Virtual Boy
I loved the virtual boy, I don't care what anyone says.
Greyscale? Really?
Greyscale is the best for the casual viewing experience.
ikr i like the red
But the red cause some headaches
Yeah because it looks better for the stream
