I hope Skindred eventually become a worldwide success and have the stature to headline big festivals like Download and Sonisphere. They deserve it. They're too sick!
Man. I'm really sad I've never heard of these guys' bassist. He is fucking amazing. And the tone is perfect. It manages to punch the song forward without just drowning the rest out. Beautiful.
These guys simply amaze me. What an incredible sound....Dubstep undertones just take the cake! I'll be the first in line when this drops Stateside May 3rd. ROOTSROCKRIOT!
ABSOLUTLY LOVE SKINDRED! sounds like the USA are missing out big time this guy is amazing on CD and even better live seen him a few times now and met him. all i can say is AWSOME!
Only came across this as was looking at Dub War: Enemy Maker of which I have a CD demo from waaay back. Skindred rock. Love it. Love the leads Reggae/Dub/Metal vocals. I am in in heaven.
@FlygoneOfficial Oh yeah. I finally gave their album Roots Rock Riot a full spin, and I was blown away. I have never heard such an explosive fusion quite like Skindred with their blend of metal, reggae, and jungle.
This is amazing!! I tried not listening to it because I wanted to wait and listen to the whole album at once, but I didn't have the will power to so it. haha. Can't wait for the US release!!
I want this album so bad! But there seems to be a problem with the release here in the Netherlands, local music stores don't have the album yet. Also, if I order one via various Dutch webstores it will take a shocking 4-6 weeks to import it!
@AgroCelt For me, it's a bit of both. I'm not generally a fan of dubstep, but I'll never say no to any genre of music IF it sounds good. My problem with a lot of dubstep is that it can (not always, but often) put production, glitches, and general "noise" before any actual music. It's not often I find dubstep with (imo) a great, musical core.
The message is better than these SICK beats. TRUTH. This guy was sick as a DJ. Something about Dub Wars. THe SHIT. Lost it in a move... Maybe I have it is a Hard Drive somewhere?? I dont care about admitting it, it was a GEM.
I can picture Korn listening to this right after their new album released, and be like " Dammit...THIS is how we should have done rock with electronica music! Silly us!" heheh
@Gennady100 I'm also not a big dubstep fan, and was a bit put off by the dubstep. I still really enjoy this song (and the album) in spite of the dubstep though. I think the dubstep is a bit pointless, but each to their own I guess!
@AgroCelt Cut Dem is maybe one of my favourite songs. But I find the dubstep just to be bland, filler sounds, and it detracts from the song while I wait for them to get to the last chorus. One of the great things about Skindred is how they seamlessly blend styles into great music. I feel that this is not one of those moments though - the dubstep feels like it’s been wedged awkwardly into the middle of the track. This is only my opinion though!
I hope Skindred eventually become a worldwide success and have the stature to headline big festivals like Download and Sonisphere. They deserve it. They're too sick!
God's greatest gift to the music industry=Skindred

Dubstep infulenced made my bread turn into toast. My new favorite song by Skindred
Saw them for the second time last night, seeing them again at Download. They are fucking immense. See this band before you die, simple as!
These guys simply amaze me. What an incredible sound....Dubstep undertones just take the cake! I'll be the first in line when this drops Stateside May 3rd. ROOTSROCKRIOT!

Anyone else think this would make a good opening for bleach?
+Lamarle Dennis It definitely would. I'ts very close to the style of J-rock.
@idiotprancer May 3
Not a brilliant Skindred tune, bit disappointed....
