The Financial advice disclaimer is the best thing ever. Especially when another well known youtube travel couple are just CONSTANTLY telling people to sign up for credit cards like it's buying Toilet Paper. And the part about not being in the US is even better. In Australia there is no way you could sign up for as many cards as some of them seem to.
Oh man, that was such a fun video to watch. I don't usually sit through hour long vids on YT, but your editing, commentary, and child-like enthusiasm from start to finish was perfect. Well done L&J, well done. Keep up the great work! PS. I'm a grown ass man but that monologue and the fireworks finale put a tear in my eye.
My parents saved for 6 years to take me and my brother to Disney and Universal studios (from the UK) when we were 10 and 12 in 2001. I'll never be able to thank them enough. Most incredible memories and everything seemed so magical as a 10 year old from the welsh valleys. couldn't believe my eyes
I can’t believe you guys actually managed to do this for free - such commitment! Having a kid of my own though that’s traveled to both Disney world and multiple countries - I will say that actually as much as he liked Disney, his most memorable moments have been in Japan, China, and Jordan! I’m so glad that the rest of the world is so much more accessible today than it used to be for our parents when we were growing up.
This is a literal movie!!! It deserves to go viral and get millions of views!!!!
Never thought an hour long video about a trip to Disney would make me cry, but you got me with that 'Just for fun' monologue. A+ video as always you guys never miss.
Also, couldn't help but notice my home town of Hokitika popping up right below one of the travel expense rebates... return to NZ incoming? Or just a different order of operations 🤞 for the return!
Undercover Tourist has been sooo popular for ages for Disney goers (especially the mega fans) and super reputable. Glad to see it mentioned. Loved this!
Josh, your comments starting about at 1:00:00 are magical! Fully agree. As I get older and after several trips to Disneyworld and now living in Europe, I too try to include daily moments of Joy! It is possible and afterwards the feeling is so freeing! This production style can be used again and again....All the best to you and Lisa!
This one was excellent and as small travel content creators, we totally understand how much effort this took! So BIG kudos to yall on that.
And Josh, definitely agree that it is important to just have fun! I, too, (Marlon) get caught up with trying to be successful on RUclips that I lose site of just taking in the moments when we travel over “trying to get the shot”. You guys fun personalities and sense of humor combined with your storytelling make for compelling content!
Well done!
One of your best yet! We especially enjoyed the authenticism of your enjoyment/regression into childhood fun. Once again, your closeness as a couple makes your content even more entertaining and fun to watch while being highly informative. Really excellent film-making.
I am *thrilled* beyond belief that you two have passed through the 100k threshold! I knew, way back when, that you'd get there before you knew it. And here you are. What a great video to seal the deal on this milestone!!! Y'all are absolutely, hands down, my fav RUclips channel! Onward and upward, Lisa and Josh...I'm with you all the way! And did I mention what a great celebratory video this is? Oh, and...keep having *fun*!🙂
My wife and I loved this video. You got me tearing up at the end man! I remember my parents took my sister and I to Disneyworld when we kids too. And it was an amazing experience like yours as a child. I remember walking around the different countries in Epcot and it really felt like I was traveling the world.
Loved this video guys. It's so refreshing to watch videos about Disney etc that is people enjoying the experience rather than breaking it down and explaining it. We've been huge fans of your videos for a while now, and this one was sensational. We went to Tokyo Disney a couple of months back and were dure we were too old to get it but the joy . . . oh man the joy and the glee we experienced. SO fun!
I know it’s gonna be a great day when a new video from you both drop. This one is so special and represents why I love you guys so much. So creative and fun!! Like others I teared up at Josh’s memories of his childhood and reflecting on what it really means to set down worries and concerns and just let go. Such a poignant message. Thank you for all you do! ❤
As soooon as Josh said he wanted to go ride Guardians like he could just hop in line I knew 😂….I loved this video.
love this whole video as this is how I use my points, getting the trips I want even if my redemption isn't the best. I usually pay my taxes and fees but each to their own. One thing I didn't notice is you didn't factor in the annual fees of a credit card. This is a cash outlay, totally worth it in my opinion but still a cost folks need to know. LOVE IT ALL. When we went to Disney the first time BEFORE the whole points thing, we hauled our own microwave (this was before they had one in each room) and food. SAVED so much money. I truly loved how much you just took it all in stride and enjoyed the park like kids. This is wonderful.
ah man - i knew we were forgetting something! yep - there is definitely an annual fee for the cards, I think adding up to like... $650?
still a $4,000 trip for $0, so if you subtract the annual fees it's a $3350+ savings. plus the annual fee comes with a bunch of other stuff that's probably valuable - travel credits every year, access to lounges, free checked bags, etc - which I think helps offset that cost.
sorry for missing that, and thank you for pointing that out to others that will watch this video. much appreciated!
@@LisaAndJosh Oh I loved your trip! You did AMAZING! Totally our style of traveling and a way to have such a great trip on a budget. You did this all with joy which was totally infectious. I shared your video with several folks. Congratulations on a great Disney Vacation.
This is sooooo good, wow!!! Love the new style and the commitment to the shoveling bit and the dance breaks haha 🤣🤣
thank you thank you! :)
This is brilliant! I have a client who told me their family of 5 was spending 25k for 4 days at Disney.. I was appalled; sending this to them.
❤❤❤ love the closing statement ❤❤❤
I love all your videos, but there was something special about this one. Well done guys.
We told our kids to be a kid for as long as possible. You are an adult for a very long time. It's so nice to see you both being young at heart and having fun. Loved the video. ❤
the ending made me emotional and cry happy tears
That was one of your best VLOGS!!!! I absolutely loved it! I hope some people are able to do what you did and able to open 3 credit cards (and pay off each month!), and go on this trip for free! Wouldn't that be wonderful. Unfortunately, I have two out of three of these cards and have used the points for other trips so I won't be able to replicate this. Plus, I'm OLD. LOL We are going on a nice trip to Italy and Vienna next year and I got the flights free and half the hotel rooms for free so I'm happy. Wish I had known about travel hacking years ago!
So glad you were able to go on this trip and have such a great time! Really, really enjoyed the video!
You guys made me cry 😭amazing video! ❤this is the Disney magic ✨. Every time I go, I become a kid again and I leave all of my worries outside the park. It truly is the happiest place on earth for me.
I think the Wisconsin cabin is a special place and no ticket required!
When I went to Disney the rides had different ticket values - the most desirable were the “E Ticket” rides. You know someone’s age if they refer to something in life as an E Ticket -
that cold open killed me 🤣 this was so good
Just want to say that I love your content (travel documentaries) and am always so happy when you post it. Thank you
Oh my gosh! Thanks so much for doing this. What a great video. That mile walk to Target in the rain looked epic. BTW, your culinary skills are a delight 🤩. You 2 rock.
Well that was waaaaay better than I thought it would be. Love you guys, you do make everything fun for us out here. Sorry you miss out on some of the fun??!
I watch a lot of travel and Disney vloggers and by far this was the BEST video I've seen yet. Emotions + travel hacking = new follower!
You are the best video narrator/ storyteller ever!❤
Watching your production. Just saw the Tower of Terror. I remember my son taking me on it many years ago and the subsequent Photo and look on my face were quite memorable..( scared look on face after surprise 5-6 story fall). Amazing production...JP Porto
As 60+ adults we still enjoy Disney. In 2020&21 we got silver annual passes. We have also been to all the Disney parks except Shanghai, it's on the list.
'this is not what Walt would have wanted for us..' LOL
Production is very creative and fun. Gooood job!
This was so beautiful on so many levels and from so many angles
oh my god you made me cry the part when you shared how our parents made sure we had this experinace ... mine did the same and when were kids we dont think the planning and budgets that had to be made to make sure we had the best experinace . paernets are great! i love floridas all disney four parks i came several times but last time i made it solo and i was afraid that i would feel awkward but the best part of disney if you want to be a kid again no judgment and best other part was that sometime solo get to ride first to fill spaces was such a bonus !!! love all you videos and wait for them always its like waiting for the sequales if my favorite movies ... your my inspiration . your fan for Jeddah Saudi Arabia
I totally adore Josh and Lisa lol
My favorite Travel Channel❤❤❤
Well done! As someone who just got into points and miles, as a Florida kid with memories of WDW trips, as a parent who has shared WDW several times with my kids, I loved this video. The monologue on "Tiana's Splash Mountain" coupled with that shot going up the ramp with the light spectrum was perfect. I've watched this in its entirety a few times, solo and with my teenage daughters.
This is my favorite video you guys have produced! I can’t remember ever leaving a comment on a RUclips video before, but I had to for this. I can’t remember ever thinking about a RUclips video the next day, let alone feel so happy because of it. This obviously took you guys so much planning and prep, but you did such a good job!!! I love it so much!!
Something so magical about Disney. Thanks for sharing this fun experience. Haven't been in years but it'll always hold gone memories with my now grown son.
Cried. This was so well done. Love you guys so much. Thank you.
I'm not crying you're crying Patrick Wilson
THAT'S WHO HE REMINDS ME OF
✨Omg, so excited for this one!!! ✨🏰🎢☀️✨
What fantastic fun! Loved the video and how cool you did it for free! Flamazing 🎉👏
lol haven’t even gotten far into the video yet but have to comment, that intro is hilarious 😂
I feel like I’m looking at myself getting excited over credit card points watching Josh, not quite as amazing value in australia but still gets me going 😂
I despise Disney but adore you two! Great video!
This was an amazing video. Production value as always is quality stuff. The disclaimer was both helpful and hilarious.
I am giving Lisa some major side eye for calling Pluto Goofy at 25:50 though. 😂
😂 totally valid-it all happened so quickly!!
Disney is always so much planning. Pre pandemic, I had to start booking for rides and restaurants six months prior to our visit.
This video was so much fun to watch! The intro was just perfect 👌🏽Thank you for doing this 😊
Being lucky is a big factor at Disney parks. Was at Tokyo Disney and we were there for a few days and the toy story ride usually had a wait time 2 to 3+ hours. One day we just happened to walk by and I guess it was down and it just opened up so we were the first 50 people on the ride and then by the time we came out there was a 3+ hour wait. There are a few rides in Tokyo where the wait time can be enormous soaring as one where locals will come and have a picnic and they will wait in line for five hours or somebody will while others go off into the park
When we travel part of our thrifty travels is to do it off-season and midweek. We’ve gone to Paris, Disney or EuroDisney twice now and it’s been in the fall late September early October and we will go like mid week and most of the wait times were up to 15 minutes and I think the tower terror was the only one we waited 30 minutes for.. when we went to Tokyo, Disney and Disney, there were a few big rides like the tower of terror toy story soaring where there was a huge line, but the rest of them there were not.

Well I didn’t have crying in my bingo card for today but thank you for reminding us to just be kids. Love the content.
I love your smiles
Genius! It felt like a Disney movie, this was so spectacular, and what an adventure that you pulled together to experience the Disney adventure. Awesome!
You look like Patrick Wilson actor. Every video I watch, that’s who I always see 🫶🏼
You made such a fun video and I think it's one of my most favourites ones that you've ever made! 😃
Okay, that was a fun game to play and a fun time at Disney world, which is awesome! But you can’t exactly say it was free when the annual fee for the Chase Sapphire reserve is $550 😉. Great finale to this video, though!
I still sing the peanut butter jelly song, too. Thanks for including that clip 😁
You guys are just simply great! Fantastic video, wonderfully poignant at times. Brought back memories for me too! Thank you so much.
We eat in the hotel room all the time. But I’m not sure about peanut butter and jelly every day. Love you guys and love how you traveled.
Great Cheapskate Video! Thank you very much!
thank you so much for sharing with us the beautiful and fun and magical of Disney!! it gives me a lot of smile and wonderful memories
super fun video. But it hurt to see you guys use points for cash redemptions and gift cards, knowing that they could have been used potentially for thousands of dollars in other travel expenses.
Was waiting for the fire works part of the Magical Holiday❣️🎆🎇
Amazing video.....can't wait till the next one comes out......due for another collaboration with OnePack Wanderers
This seems totally nuts. I mean, I’m not American so maybe that’s why I don’t get the whole having 4 credit card / points thing? But I love you guys. Just watched the Hong Kong video and loved it.
Love this format. Great theatrics! Google talking smack to you was side splitting. I felt like I was on a ride watching this!
Refreshing the page was so real 😂😂😂 love this !
When you said hey Google don't be creepy my Google mini would shut you off. And then when I restarted your show it backed it up a few seconds and you said it again and it shut you off again ha ha! Anyway be careful of your new super power saying "Hey Google" and controlling all of us. :) Great video!
Lisa and Josh, Thanks for posting this video
Chase is a $500.00 annual fee! Yooo I'm jealous!
Excellent video on travel hacking. I would have gone with a Holiday Inn Express instead to save more money on the free included breakfast.
Loved watching this ❤
Such a joy! I laughed, I cried and I learnt that going to Disney is not for the faint hearted 😂
Another great video 🎉🎉🎉
Starting a new post for a new question. When I started to watch Bing of the video, I thought you were getting tickets for the lady who had to cancel her trip and couldn’t afford a new trip because it was expensive.
PEPE SILVIA!!!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😂😭😭😂
I remember watching Fantasia when I was in my early 20s and thought this IS the Happiest place on earth! Now, I don’t know how families can afford to go to Disneyland or Disneyworld. And if you are not tech savvy, good luck! Wish Disney would not place so much emphasis on making money. Great video! Aloha and Mahalo!
This will be your viral moment 🎉 great job!
Thanks!
🤣🤣 that was wonderful and I loved hearing your stories when you were a kid there with your family. I have never been to a Disney Park and will never get there. I am 65 and live in Australia and just too far out of my reach. When I was a kid Walt Disney was on our TV every Sunday night introducing a Disney show and I just loved it and dreamed about going there………..
Really good video ❤
What a fantastic video!!! Thank you for sharing❤
Another brilliant video. Spam and spinach noodles, I mean urgh, you're both insane 😅. I can't get my head around the plethora of credit cards that are offered in the US for airmiles/travel/points etc, and how freely they give them out. We defo couldn't do what you did in or from UK. CC are much harder to come by with loads less variation. Thank you for another super entertaining video 🎉😊
Great job! Too stressful for me, though... those virtual lines 😮
You guys are so weird. In a good way. Love ya. 🥰
LOVE THIS SO MUCH and How you guys crack the code do go to Disney World.
You guys ROCK! By far the best videos to watch in RUclips if you really want to be on target about places, especially if you are planning a trip to that destination. Living in Miami going to Disney was something that folks in this area used to do regularly. However, is becoming RIDICULOUSLY expensive!
Is much cheaper traveling internationally to places nice such as Cartagena, Colombia for a week or ten days than going to Disney! Probably one of the few advantages to getting old, no more visits to Mikey! Rio, Buenos Aires here we come!
This is my first time watching one of your videos... will I always cry at the end or was this a one time thing?
I love undercover tourists 😂
Not go through all the comments, but I do have a follow up question. As a fellow thrifty traveler as you, how would you repeat this in a year or two?. And I guess the challenge would be to do it without credit cards. One big tip from me if you’re not afraid of flying, you might find cheaper deals off continent in 2019 I went to Tokyo Disneyland for extremely cheaper air and hotel then going to either American parks. and this September I’m going to Hong Kong Disneyland and I’m gonna be there for two days all inclusive food park tickets photo pass all that stuff for the price of two tickets only to Walt Disney World
In the past on the West Coast, you could buy the Disney gift cards for a great discount 7 to 10% off in the past I want to say 10 years only two years ago Best Buy had an E gift card and they seem to do it every month and they limited to you three gift cards are $500 at 10% off. So that’s one thing you can tell people is if you’re on the East Coast BJ’s there are other places that give you percent off and of course some people say or you can use your target card well actually if I bought gift cards Disney gift cards with one of my credit cards. I get more back that I do with target. As being truly frugal, I’m looking for the big 7 to 10% discount off. I do love the video and I do love the challenge again. I go through this every time we go on a trip. Said this fall were flying to Hong Kong the airfare I didn’t get a deal on or did I. I’m paying the exact same price from Seattle to Orlando as I’m going Seattle to Hong Kong. So that is a huge saving because the price to Hong Kong is usually a lot more.

Can add it’s been a while, but we have stayed at that Holiday Inn before and it is a good hotel
And tell you that you might be travel budget experts, but not Disney experts lol. Have been using undercover tourist ever since it’s been around so early as back I could think would be the 1990s maybe I started using it lol.
That was a fun video, as always .
How do you pay with points on underdiscovered tourist? I only see option to pay with credit card. I’m new to this whole thing lol and I will be hopping on to your training course ❤
Always love watching You both. Love it n Love you❤❤❤
Would you recommend the fast pass for for epcot and Animal kingdom this October? I'm kinda afraid of wasting so much time in lines but also the lightning lanes are so expensive. Also I DID not know you can BRING FOOD inside Disney!!!! Great Job by the way you too. I usually don't watch 1 hour viedeos on YT but you guys have Magic. - From Manila PH
Interesting … chase sapphire reserve has a 575 card fee …?.
You guys are amazing story tellers 🤍🤍🤍 i can still also remember my first Disney experience and what I always feel when I come back🤩 it’s literally MAGIC✨
Daaaaaamn, bravo!!!! 😅😅😅
How to count the CC annual fees and required spend? That is like $700 in annual fees, $8k in required spend. You could have paid less than $3k for the actual trip.
Nothing wrong at all with doing a cheap Disney trip and eating PB&J. But the whole credit card 'hacks' felt like a scam
They paid for some of their friends stuff too, so took a bit of spending, but like they say, just day to day spending plus trying to pay other people's bills/needs. Pretty ingenious really
Put some respect on Living with the Land’s name 😮
