The modern way of fitting a grill door attachment is to use a drilling machine .
You drill holes along the perimeter wall of the grill ,attach the metal studs,fit the grill and weld it to the studs .
The results is better as the wall is left intact without getting damaged
You don't even need cement for the work.
But ,in your case, you had no alternative as you are off grid.
