Man, great review DRONE SHOTS?! haha awesome. I bought a nice clean used set of Zildjian As that came with a red version of this case and I came to a review to see how it all fits together since I feel the guy sent it to me wrongly set up! Your last 5 seconds covered exactly that. Your tour looked like it must have been awesome man!

Hahah, thank you for the kind words! I've had that drone shot in my mind from the moment I started scripting the review! 😂
Anyway, I'm glad you stayed until the end for that little montage! Hope you'll enjoy your new cymbals and the Hardcase. 🤘🏼

I use hardcases to protect my Tama star and I’ve loved them but I’ve just got the cymbal case to match and wanted to see what you thought and I think I’m going to love it

I'm sure you will! In the beginning, mounting and unmounting cymbals on the stands will surely be a little slower than using a regular cymbal bag, and it will require a bit more space on the stage since it cannot stand upright when opened, but I'm sure you'll get used to it in no time!

Does this case allow you to store upright, without the cymbals resting on their edge? And how have the foam pads held up? Are they pretty sturdy? Thanks!

    • @tinomargan

With the case in its upright position, the holes of the cymbals rest on the spindle sleeve (plastic/rubber protector) shown at 1:51, the edges of the cymbals never touch the case, just the mounting holes.
If you mean foam dividers, they held up great, when the case is laid flat, weight is equally spread and they have no problem dividing the cymbals. If you mean foam pads at the bottom of the case, they too hold up with no problem - same protection as the first day. There are always spare parts on their website so even if you somehow manage to deform a foam pad it can be replaced.

@@tinomargan Great, thank you for the information!

    Great review 😊
What’s your advice on over-filling the case? I know it says “only” 9 cymbals, but I’ve managed to insert a couple more and it still closes (my china gave me many headaches, as it’s the 19” A Heavy China and it has the bell inverted, making it a pain to fit 😅)
What’s your thoughts? Have you had any issue with your current cymbal capacity? Thanks!

      Thank you for the comment!
Well, I must say, I really don't have any advice. 😅 If it closes easily and leaves enough room for the cymbals - you should be fine! Also, I'm sure it's not the same if you have 9 ride cymbals or 9 splashes. 😅
I'm still on 6 cymbals (I'm pretty sure the hi-hat counts for two), but if I ever felt a need for more capacity, their 24" version is rated for 12 cymbals. Again, I'm not sure why this one is rated for 9 cymbals since both the weight and the inside space shouldn't be an issue!

@@tinomargan I missed your comment for some reason, but thanks! I’m good with the space now, it took some engineering in terms of the order in which to put the cymbals in but now I’m square and road-tested 👌🏻 The case is definitely trustworthy. Thanks again for the reply!

Chur Mate, Is it worth it to buy?

    • @tinomargan
      @tinomargan  2 года назад

In my opinion - absolutely. I'm not sure about what their competition has to offer, but this case really proved to be a convenient and practical way to protect and transport your cymbals!
