Residential looks great up there, but I feel that, once the city is filled, Ninjago will always look a bit out of place. What if you bring forward a bit the winter village and put Ninjago behind the mountain, like carved into the rocks. A hidden city behind the city
If you want to become a morning person you should get a daylight alarm clock. It wakes you up by simulating sun rise and is way better than a regular alarm clock. Other trick is consistency: you should wake up every day around the same time, just a one hour difference for the weekends.
I set my alarm 🚨 at 7 pm in the morning .but not get up till 730 8 most morning s. I youst to get up. 430 or .6 am if had to go to work. But been my own boss working for my salf ..I have all way s kinda sleeped in. Most my life .cas not needed to .leve to go to work if work from home. 😊
When I work morning shift, I wake up at 4:50 am, and I prefer morning shift just because I make more of the day. Afternoon shift just consumes my whole day, I don't get much free time. Routine is everything. Then again, I go to bed around 9 pm😅 when I need to wake up early. Loving your channel, you bunch make me laugh. Kids are so adorable, I sense Millie's gonna be your helper in everything. Daughters are like that with dads, you'll see. Josée is a great help and a lovely person, you two make quite a duo.
Josie is amazing. Emadgen if he had to do it all his salf. All that bulk buy of sets to sort. Then goe s buy another collection to add more to the pile .plus cleaning an cleaning clutter she do s so much. ..but she knows we give. Her pros. For all she. Do. 😊. Have you. Great. Day. Jordan. Josie
The amount of flowers and plants that comes with the botanical set are amazing. So many choices for the city. Hard to make a decision. Love the socks . lol tfs
Hi Bricksie! I never used to be a morning person either but I had to change for my job, now I wake up everyday at 6am. It takes some time but you can do it! Good luck!
Love the Ninjago location. You could also have a waterfall coming from that area into the theme park, maybe for a log flume type ride or even just into the moat around the disney castle?
Your ideas for the Ninjago stuff is epic and brilliant, will be amazing! So happy you guys get more time to do this, and that the kids are adapting well to daycare. Hope you feel some weight lifting of your sholders!
Hi Jordan, when my kids were small we had real problems with early morning waking (usually 4am but now 6am every day) I managed to train myself to only need about 6 hours sleep each night It's hard but stick to it for a month and you'll crack it 18 hour days are amazing
I like the residential area up there, it might be a bit easier if the residential area table was the same height as the botanical garden table. I like the ninjago city idea too
I have a lamp next to the bed with a smart bulb in it. I set the color to salmon, it’s like the glow of sunset. It’s programmed to turn on a 5am. That helps me wake up with the alarm set to 5:10am.
I wake up around 330 am, and after a few weeks/months doing that it becomes easy and a part of your routine. To start that, put your alarm somewhere in the room that you need to get out of bed to turn it off. May prevent snoozing.
I think you gotta seperate ninjago a tiny bit by the mountain. Perhaps having it bulge out and having it create a hook shape around ninkago, which would explain why much of it is built on water, kinda like ancient mexico city being in a basin between a bunch of mountain ranges
Looks like a plan for the Ninjago area, you could make the mouth of the tunnel to look like a dragon swallowing the train 🐲. but if you buy sets at the Lego store you get ‘Insiders’ points not V.I.P. Points now. Just saying ‘cos I got told off on my last visit to the store for calling them VIP points 😉😉🤪
I'm sure with all the updates and seemingly being set on the layout you are probably tired of other people suggesting other ways to organize your city, BUT... WHAT IF... you put Ninjago back above the zoo, move your amusement park in the old residential section, and then shift the residential section to the far side where the amusement park currently resides. That would give you the separation of residential and downtown core, allow you to build the mountains the way you wanted without trying to figure out your water source for the canal, and allow you to keep all the mountain builds where they are.
I had to see a sleep therapist last year because of insomnia. He told me people are either a night owl or a lark. And you have to work with what you are. I tried to switch to a morning person for years which caused the insomnia. Be careful.
You could also put Ninjago into to mountain as if it was cut out of it. That way you don't lose the width of your mountain, because the Ninjago city is part of it.
🙏 move the zoo into the old residential area.. makes perfect sense, having it next to mountain and amusement Park. Would perfectly transition. You can then have so many options behind the beach! Also, build "cubes" for you raised sections to allow more flexibility. You can stack them, slide them in and out, and not be tied in to having a fixed layout.
I hope you do put the raised platforms out in front of the Ninjago sets. The sharp and finished look will compliment the Ninjago sets well. Ninjago sets are very detailed with a sharp and finished look as well The organic look of a mountain side sounds pretty good too. Ninjago already has organic pieces such as the Dragon Stone Shrine, that would blend with the mountain idea.
Nightowls will always be nightowls Bricksie! ;) Also, just thinking out loud here, but Ninjago city to me always felt like a mythical and also hidden city. From a storytelling perspective it wouldn’t make sense to put the ninjagocity right next to the main city and amusementpark, but rather nestled between the hills and mountains on the other side. That would also give you two cities in different places. Just my two cents. Keep up the great work!!
Im not familiar with all the Ninjago buildings but as you were thinking about the road work it looked like two separate types. Ones that look traditional Japanese village and other that look more like little Japan or Chinatown buildings. I'd leave the village ones near the botanical garden and move the modern into the downtown core.
HEY! Jordan you need to have one of my Monday's it was like 4 Monday's in one. Kind of how things go with being machine maintenance in a production setting.
good luck changing your sleep schedule I tried for awhileand now it's all over the place. only work if you have a proper clock alarm the very old fashion model with double bell with a hammer or the old cornflake clock from the 90's. that hateful rooster clock woke me up when i was going to highschool snooze didn't exist either back then.
I understand the joy of the building that’s fun and placement and creation of a city that’s fun but after you’ve built the city built the buildings what joy do they bring? Or put another way is it still pleasant?
I would like to suggest moving the Ninjago between the raised winter village and the theme park. It can act as ta themed area for the park. Put water in front of Ninjago as tyou have been planning. Them a rock wall facing the winter village.
How deep do you imagine the water around ninjago to be? If it's ankle-deep there's no problem, but if it's a meter or two then they would clash with the tunnel.
i really like the residental area and overlooking botanical gardens. i dont think the ninjago stuff works in your city unless you make them part of a china town area of downtown
I love the new Ninjago plan! I like the idea of moving the platform coverings forward. It will make more sense if the downtown ever reaches that area plus it fills in nicely for now. Great episode! Let's go!
Random thought: How does the X-men mansion compare in size to the Home Alone mansion? The reason I ask is because I think that mansion looks out of place size wise in the residential area. I wonder if both mansions would be better in the pop culture area?
I find that I need at least a couple of hours to get rid of grogginess in the morning, but I do have medical conditions which make me tired and I need to stay up to about 1 am or I get acid reflux issues with my stomach.
Hi jordan, i wonder if you can considder this one. Why not place the residential area & stuff where the zoo is and shift the zoon a few baseplates backwards and slowly increase your hight towards the mountains. I dont know that roadplate in going steeply high. No hate just my sugestion never the less much respect in what you do! Greetings from belgium.

Second the daylight clock. As a non-morning person this has made a huge difference in how I wake up.

I love the views from the pop up holes POV! It gives Mr Roger’s Neighborhood vibes❤
Get rid of the pop up holes bro, simple click fold down system would be so much better - from every shot you have this giant chasm and it ain’t great
I assume that you’re not doing a winter village this year since you have would have started it by this time of the year
Love the new botanical garden there above the zoo and love the residential on the raised section. Looking good. ❤

I am a night owl. The struggle is real. Good luck. So nice to see Josee puttering around the studio. Don't overwork her too soon!! ;)
You could also put a path leading from the zoo up to the botanical gardens.
Love the new Ninjago proposed orientation!
Given I suggested that you should put a jutting mountain part for the Ninjago scene - I am excited that you are thinking of it!!
Awesome idea

Same
@bricksie put the Ninjago city on a floating shelf above the medieval area, like on floating clouds!

the new ninjago area sounds like a great solution, the residential area is looking great. Your new socks gave me a good chuckle.
The Ninjago Tournament Temple City would look epic as a part of the mountain!
Place ninjago at various heights on the mountain so the buildings are at various heights and depths on the mountain itself.
I hope you do put the raised platforms out in front of the Ninjago sets. The sharp and finished look will compliment the Ninjago sets well. Maybe swap the winter village with Ninjago and make the village in front of the mountain? Ninjago feels like it should be high up!
Baahaahaa you have never been a morning person since the day you were born
Build a suspended gondola station from the residential to downtown!
I have a crazy idea . Maybe In the back left corner build a high platform you could walk through. And build more mountain up higher in the corner.
Plot twist: The next morning Bricksie wakes up at 8:45a because ’good things happen between 9 & 11 at night. 😅

i honestly think some of the ninjago city sets could fit well in the city if they had modified sidewalks
