    Miss these days lol... Miss them so much..... especially when compared to the current season (Coughlin gone as GM of Jacksonville. OBJ hurt in pre-season and ultimately injured for the year later on. Brandon Marshall injured for the season. Olivier Vernon also hurt throughout the year. Suspensions to Jenkins and Rodgers-Cromarti. Eli benched after 200something consecutive games for Geno Smith. Then, Macadoo fired. And GM Jerry Reese fired.)
    Such a rough time having to watch the present day Giants team currently at 2-10 with Dallas coming to Metlife this week and NBC flexed it OUT of the primetime slot...., that's how bad 2017 has been.......GOD, i miss the 2011 team so much.

    As a Fellow Giants fan, I remember being on the verge of a Heart Attack the entire time. At the end I felt nothing more but relieved because New England missed so many opportunities this game. Even though New York hung on and rallied on for the remarkable win this was a game New England just flat out "dropped". I counted at least 4 from the Patriots and it all came at the most crucial moments. The difference in the game was is that When it counted the Giants made the plays and the Patriots didnt and thats how I continue to look at it. And its weird just seeing that from a Player like Brady and a Coach like Belichick. It's too bad that Couglin went and this is Probably Eli's last season in New York. McAdoo and Reese have literally killed this franchise. you literally see no motivation from McAdoo like you would from Coughlin. Just depressing. Thank god we won this game because it seems so long ago. We need to rebuild.

    Bc of how bad the team was towards the end of Eli's career, people forget just how clutch he was.
    In a 2 minute drill, Id take Eli over Peyton, or Brady. Id prob take those other 2 for the first 58, but last 2 is Eli's zone.

    • @jeffreyval9665
      @jeffreyval9665 2 года назад

      @studio732jrl2 Brady is obviously the greatest of all time but Eli is the best closer in huge spots we've ever seen. Eli's first sb plus the playoffs leading up to that superbowl and the same thing this superbowl. The playoff runs and last minute drives by Eli were just as impressive as the superbowl closeouts.

    • @jeffreyval9665
      @jeffreyval9665 2 года назад

      @studio732jrl2 I'm actually a die hard Eagles fan also and overall diehard fan of every Philly team and yes Nick Foles was the perfect qb for that shootout of a superbowl. Carson Wentz wouldn't of been capable of winning a game like that. My original statement about Eli was not only his superbowl wins were great but him going on the road in those playoff series both seasons and having some great last minute drives to beat Green Bay twice went into Dallas and beat a very good Dallas team also. I love my Eagles but I give credit where credit is due and in every big spot in playoff games Eli always came thru and never choked and Brady is a very close second. After seeing Donovan McNabb choke every single time the Eagles needed a last game winning drive out of him I realized just how great Eli and Brady were on those last minute game winning drives. I'm talking playoffs not regular season.

    • @jeffreyval9665
      @jeffreyval9665 2 года назад

      @studio732jrl2 if you think Wentz could of won a shootout against Tom Brady your a complete idiot. I'm not talking about any game except the superbowl. Wentz was not accurate enough or the type of qb that would of been capable of winning that kind of Superbowl. Going on the road in the playoffs both times Eli had some amazing game winning drives along with those 2 superbowl wins. I've seen enough football in my life ( you obviously haven't) to see he's one of the best in a last minute game winning drive. If I had 1 game to win and have to score with the last drive I would take Eli every time and Brady a very close second. The defense hung the Giants in those superbowls but when it came down to the last possession both times Eli marched em down the field for game winning drives.

    teams like the pats steelers 49ers cowboys have had all time great players and teams and eras where they won at least 3 in a short amount of years ...but if you think about it since 1986 the giants have been the best team in football consistently winning with less talent than all those others great teams....they have won in 4 different straight decades....and they arent relying on one tandem of coach/qb or 1 all time defense or rushers or wide receivers ...they have always had different guys....yeah they have always great pass rushers but not really all time defenses as a whole......they have gone 4-1 in super bowls since then most ever...the pats have gone 4 and 3...but they cheat ....not to mention the giants beat a perfect team and a bills team that everyone thought was better...who went to 4 straight super bowls....the giants are the modern era dynasty...since 1980 you can say they are the best team in football....

      Yes, and don't forget the best QB performance in Super Bowl history against my Broncos (as of 2016, the best winning pct in the NFL since 1984- and the 3rd best in all of sports in that period behind only the Lakers and Spurs, lol). Phil Simms isn't a Hall of Famer, nor is anyone else on that Giants offense.... Kent freaking Graham and The Giants also ruined the Broncos perfect season in 1998-99... The NYG are just scrappy. Only issue giants have are they have never been to back to back superbowls. Thats something they have try to get going. They win in thrilling fashion, but then cant get back there. Up till this superbowl , they definitely were in the playoffs fairy often. So i can mostly agree with them being a consistent franchise. Unfortunately since then they have made the playoffs once and have gone downhill. Including elis benching in 17. Its ashame.
