    Beautiful herringbone sir!! Could you please make a video walking through how you did that for dummies?
    You made it a ton easier than how I would have done it.

      Thank you! It is not the most solid herringbone but for this purpose it is sturdy enough, although I think it is not too difficult to reenforce it. I will think about making a tutorial!

    great work mate, out of curiosity why does everyone use forstner bits for tuning? Wouldnt you want to sand the wood off evenly somehow, maybe arched like a marimba bar?

      I think sanding, if you have the right tools would be a very good option. On a recent drum of mine I used a Dremel to remove the wood more evenly, it works just the same.
