I was lucky enough to work on this airframe from 1991-1995, with VAQ-130. I was a plane captain and went on to the airframes shop and a flight deck troubleshooter. Great video!

That's awesome that you got to work on such an iconic aircraft! The VAQ-130 must have been an incredible experience, especially transitioning from a plane captain to the airframes shop and then as a flight deck troubleshooter. Your journey sounds like a testament to the depth of knowledge and skill required to keep those machines flying. Thanks for sharing your background; it really adds a personal touch to the video's content. Keep the stories coming; they're invaluable!

I have a stinger(tailhook)from a prowler. It was just leaning against the wall of my utility room when I bought my house. I thought it was a boat anchor for years. 😆 it's been a fun journey learning about this aircraft and its history.

Capt Gilliam was my CO when I went through the Prowler RAG at VAQ-129. He's a good man that packs a hell of a punch. It was good to see him again - even though it's virtual. He looks a little different, but the voice and mannerisms are exactly the same.

Very well done and clear. The "Sky Pig" is not glamorous, does not do mach 2, or look sleek. But she was incredibly adaptable to changing situations and had relatively little down time. I was with the VMAQ-2 Playboys before they became politically correct. I love that plane and the experiences I had over 8 years fixing her ECM systems.

It should be noted that the low band pods do not have steerable antennas. They are fixed to the radome.
