  • DUFFYBAG is an all Dutch label. The collection of DUFFYBAG is made entirely by hand in a Dutch atelier.
From the start of cutting the leather all the way up to the finalization of the bag; every step is done by hand. This sumptuous and special process is what makes DUFFYBAG so unique.

What do they use on the raw edges? What’s that stuff called? It peels off after a while so how can I replace it?

it's double sided 'bag maker's tape' it's made of really strong glue/gum for joining leather together, or sticking lining inside a bag. You can buy it online, or in any craft store.

it says every step is done by hand but I saw some parts sewn by machine?????

Ana Nicolaas They consider it "hand-sewn" if the machine is hand-operated. That doesn't mean hand-STITCHED, however.

Both HERMES & CHANEL use sewing machines, so what?

The video was much too close up showing what the machines and/or hands were doing to observe what the artisan was doing. That seems to be the trend today and it's too bad because it leaves this viewer frustrated. The Artisan is beyond remarkable and it tears me up to see his compassion. Thanks, 1926lady

I can't stand that companies are using their name brand as design features

why? I thought it very subtle, and not too in your face.
Ateliers need to advertise their brand, so when ppl see a name, they can search for it and buy one.
It builds brand recognition & helps them to make money. It's no different to what Gucci, Chanel or LV do, and they're hand made, quality pieces.
