I feel like the math thing depends on your school! im a communications in advertising major and all my upper division classes are not math related. general-ed definitely requires basic math, but ultimately it depends on what your individual school requires!

I definitely think someone who is shy could be in marketing! its more about knowing how to communicate well with other people in teams, whether it be in person or through email or phone. Not so much about giving presentations :)

Yes of course! I know many people who started off their degree as something else when they first started college. Just make sure you are aware of how many credits are transferring towards your marketing degree and to look at the course curriculum to make sure that is something you want to do and will enjoy :)
