It’s literally was only Saturday when I was crying because I didn’t like how my hair was looking after growing it for 6 years now with the length not growing further and My mental health making it harder to keep up with twists and braids. I’ve wanted to loc my hair forever but was so insecure and still am about other peoples opinions, especially since I’m literally in barber school around judgmental hair professionals. But you’re motivating me thru this and I’m going to use this to build my self love better. Don’t stop because if I’m not you can’t either.

Mannn this video hits a lil close 😪 I combed out my locs near the end of May after 1 year of freeforming… it was a really emotional time and it still kinda is-I’ve been avoiding watching dreadlock vids cos it’s still a lil fresh… but I couldn’t avoid them forever cos how could I resist this video showing up on my feed? 😂 I’ve been doing a LOTTT of self-reflection lately, looking deeper at the “why’s” of my life… as hard and emotional as it was for me, I don’t regret combing them out… but I also don’t regret freeforming either. Anyways, your hair has changed so much since the last vid I saw!!! 10/10 video as always
Honestly in life, it’s just rough. I feel like things go from good to bad. I have to take one day at a time honestly. With my locs, I am almost two years locd, it’s amazing because this is the longest I’ve been locd, most days are a breeze, and they are easy to maintain.
LOVE hearing this... and too true-it's overcoming the small wins each and everyday, and in no time we looking back on some progress! Congratulations on 2 years!

This is my 3rd time starting freeforms due to having to restart and I am looking forward to be going bigger than ever with this freeform Journey and you have helped me as I began again and I thank you very much 🙏🏿❤️🔥💯🐐 and I myself use anti dandruff, rice water and an oil or two to maintain my hair and to let it have good smell as you remind us to keep our hair smelling good and afterwards I wear a bonnet to keep it moisturized…. Great video, great way to share your story and get a great message in for us. On my 4th week of freeform as a woman, it's difficult sometimes. So when I'm not feeling my best hair wise, I wear a cute scarf, earrings etc... I'm doing ok.

because of you i learned to embrace my dreads at any stage, now i think they always look good
