I’m so glad that Lucky Ali didn’t let bollywood corrupt his music. His music was always ahead of it’s time. Still sounds so fresh after all these years. Lucky Ali is s gift to all the sensible music listeners especially, to us 90s kids.

Just a 1999 evening... DD2 .. Tu kaun hai--- Yaroon Dosti(Rockford)--- Dooba Dooba Rehta Hoon--- Aap ki Dua (Rockford).. the times were sooo damnn good.....
I am a die hard Lucky Ali fan. After 9 years I realised this song actually describes “Air” after watching RailwayMen. Lived in Bhopal for one year, beautiful city lovely people.
Wow thanks... I have always loved this song since more than 2 decades, but I wondered what or who was "Tu" in the song. Now it makes sense, it is indeed "Air" 😌
Give me chills.. those beautiful memories of childhood.. Watching DD1, Rangoli, Chandrakanta, Captain Vyom.. far from mobile phones busy changing the cassette side from A to B in our Audiotapes.. I miss those times.. :( Simple, Pure and Beautiful :) But I am glad that I lived those at Best and feel very sorry for the current generation kids.
As the world moves "forward", more and more of the younger generation become like total "zombies". I miss my childhood in the late 80s and the early 90s!!
I dare u if u listen to this song once or twice, u wont like it. but, if u listen it third time, there is no stopping, on continuous loop. The way he sings 'tu kaun hai ...tu kaun hai' 😍❤️
I was at his concert 2 days ago. Pune, Liberty Square. He performed this song and joked that it was written about Covid 19. Watched him perform some of his popular songs and some undiscovered gems like these. A memory I'll always cherish 😍
3:21 - A true masterpiece of guitar strumming.. those nylon stringed guitars of Lucky Ali's band were way ahead of the Indian Music scene of the time. Would have loved to see the live performance during the studio recording of this track.
Lucky Ali has one of the rarest and soothing and incomparable voice in India hands down, not to forget his unique blend of Afro-Indian music. Pure class but sadly no one currently has that aura.
Here after watching The Railway Men...the Netflix Show and the movie Bhopal Express are separated by almost 25 years but have three common things: the tragedy, Kay Kay Menon and trains!
I had bought his casette worth 90 rupees in 2000. Nobody in the family liked his songs except for me 90 rupees was a big amount for a school going kid at that time. Hope i meet him some day
I somehow feel the music in the 90's was way more modern than what it is today. ar Rahman, lucky Ali, euphoria have contributed alot in the music industry during 90's. The music these days is all about the beats and meaning less lyrics
The last days of indian railways' maroon coaches!! Whoever misses the maroon livery on Indian trains (90s kids, I'm looking at you), please give a shout out. IMHO the current blue coaches just look hideous. The maroon ones tended to blend with the Indian landscape a lot better.
Also the last of the strikingly strong Alco WDMs and their blow horns which signalled the advent of summer vacations and of journeys to faraway lands of India in search of a new experience - something to cherish for the whole academic year - until the coming of the next summer vacation.
Yes Yes Sir I am 91 born...and i remember as m from punjab....i had travel Bombay, Pune, Hydrabad, Gujrat....in 90s with my parents.....I am grateful that my whole childhood was spent in 90s

Sir, I'm from 90's. Not only 80's kids but 90's too. The cassettes which I had purchased at that time, I still have them and I still listen to them. Today's singer, music composers and their songs really sucks.
The concoction of Lucky's voice, background score (breathe sound) and glimpses of KK Menon's acting takes us to a different level of plateau of getting high The song is about life (breathe) and has been melodiously elaborated by Lucky Ali
The music this guy composed is way ahead of its time . Probably not a very popular song but there is so much of soul in it. Still listening in September 2020 .
Only a 90's kid/teen will know the importance of Lucky ali's music. The music, the associated music videos, the overall music arrangement were not only far ahead of its time but also timeless. This song, like so many of his songs, is just evergreen and so relevant.
This song is beautifully haunting with so many memories on the 90s. The video is wonderfully juxtaposed with 'Bhopal Express' a film made on the background of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy. You could see KK Menon's despair when he stopped the wrong train to save his wife who I think was on the other.
Amazing song sequence.. after the gas tragedy ,,,KK Menon is trying to stop the train from entering the city, just realized at the end that he has stopped the wrong train, and the one with his family has just passed by...in this backdrop the song is just superb..
What a unique style of singing he used to have in 90s.This is amazing. His songs are before time.so he didnt get so much fame but if he had sing this song in today time then i am sure that he would be one of the best singer of todays time. Lots of love and respect to him from Nepal.

Although he was just an ordinary singer.. He was in all true means an Artist.. His songs had great depth and a lick of everyday mystery.. The best artist Bharat mata has ever had
Im not sure if it is Flute or some other instrument towards the end of the song, but it is the life of this song among of-course beautiful voice of Lucky Ali. Great composition and I agree 100% with previous comments on road trips !!
December 1984, 500,000 Indians were severly injured, nearly 4000 of whom died in their sleep, in what came to be known as one of the worst chemical disasters in the world, as the Union Carbide Plant in Bhopal leaked toxic chemicals to unsuspecting people in their sleep. Bhopal express, a tribute to that sad tragedy, still brings tears to my eyes. Were adequate safety protocols followed? Could more lives have been saved? Who knows?
