- Like a thundering battle tank the Americans Jungle Rot move into position at the front lines to bring their latest weapon into action. "What Horrors Await" consists of a commando troop of intense grooves, killer double bass, and brutally deep growls, which sound off incomparably over the roaring of the combat action. Threatening and with a never-before heard intensity, the guitar riffs, not unlike deadly fusillades, provide the listener with barely enough time to take cover from the impending inferno. One thing is for sure, metal veterans and new recruits will fall in without batting an eye, as "What Horror Awaits" delivers crushing old school death metal, leaving nothing but a blood-soaked battlefield in its wake.

I was looking for episodes of Bear Grylls - Worst Case Scenario and I found this.

forty years old, these guys are one of those bands that helps you keep the faith with all the shitty metal out there
I've been lucky to see these guys live three times in my relatively small town. Never in my life have I felt crushing guitars in my chest cavity the way these guys do it. I could feel every palm mute kick like a mule right in the center of my chest. These guys SLAY live. One of the best bands I've ever had the pleasure to see perform.

I can’t remember for sure, but I’m pretty sure this is the first Jungle Rot song I ever heard. And I was instantly in love. Now a top 5 metal band for me.

Went to see Deicide in Deep Ellum a few weeks ago, and these guys opened for them I had never heard of them till then. They kicked ass! I got to meet the vocalist and lead guitarist

I just saw these guys 3 or 4 weeks ago in Mesa, AZ with Woe Of Tyrants. I've never heard of them before then.....wish I would have. They're sick. Coolest thing is, they're totally normal guys in person.

Saw these guys live with deicide last march here in chocago, and I had actually never heard of these guys until then, but now I can't get enough of them. It was my first metal show, and my neck hurt two days later form all the headbanging. Long story short, these guys are awesome!

funny thing. i was 17 and went into a used CD shop and I asked this guy behind the counter if he had any good death metal albums that I may enjoy. He handed me a Jungle Rot album and I have wanted to see them live for so long. Im fuckin 22 and now i get to see these fuckers on the 17th. fuck yeah.

Saw these guys at MetalFeast in Corpus Christi back in 2001. They opened for Goat Whore, Desolation, Deicide was the headliner. These guys had their shit together, and were tighter than a ducks ass in hot water. They blew me away, I mean they sounded like they do on the Album. BAD FUCKIN ASSS MAN!

@yummy bear:I seen Deicide this past summer & they kicked major ass,but Ralph Santola was on guitar & Jack Owens so that's a killer trio! You said you went & seen Deicide 6yrs ago so Ralph wasn't with them then,even Jack Owen himself said Deicide was much better with Ralph. But now Ralph is no longer with Deicide,he quit in July. But Deicide & Jungle Rot are touring together starting in March/2012. Deicide's latest album "to hell with God"is a very wicked,powerful album!
