This is certainly an interesting batch of refines. Everyone gives Quan flak for his refine. Sure it isn't as insane as the other four here, but I find it still very useful for both himself and team comps for some physical bulk. Some of these are tempting, but I'm saving up for a Julius refine.
Marisa's refine is so much fun. I've been saving a 200 Divine Dew buffer for well over half a year now and it was worth it to be prepared! I run her with Blue Flame, Distant Counter, Repel, Time's Pulse, and any S-slot (Atk/Spd bond more often than not) and the fact that she has her special ready every round with a boost of up to 32 free boosted damage without factoring in her Atk is so ridiculous. 2 CD Aether also sounds like a TON of fun, and I might look into giving it to her in the future. Vengeance is also a funny meme to do with her monstrous HP stat!
After M! Morgan's refine I can't wait for IS to make Reinhardt's refine like "If unit initiates combat, gets atk + 4. That's all, not even +6 because we hate you.".
To be honest all that Blue Tome Reinhardt needs is the same type of effect that his sword version has with an extra debuff effect(maybe), if he can attack twice even when he is not initiating combat himself he will become one of the strongest units again, which he still kinda is 😅
I was not expecting an Apex Legends reference, nice. As sad as it that Morgan lost the after combat debuffs, he got a REALLY nice refine that I plan to get.
Quan’s refine is slept on just a teensy bit (mostly during situational circumstances, since I run an all cav theme team, Quan included) but I was really hoping that there’d be more for him. Quan will never get a time to shine, Finn is our last hope

Flowing Lance can be refined to get +3 Spd and +5 Hp (which is very desirable for Quan) whereas Earthly has +2 Mt, +3 Def and a different condition (remember we're talking about Quan who will not be benefitting from flyer skills /WoM too often but as a Cav will often be solo)
Seth the Ace Mobility skills are nice but with how potent Solo stacking actually is there's not really a reason to not use Flowing Lance over EGB especially as it's an extra 5 HP and 4 Def or Res and pricing against Fliers making you so much more tankier at the cost of 2 Atk.
One thing i think could be scary, (and something i do similarly with L! Lilina and Heavy Blade 4) Is Special Fighter and Moonbow, Glimmer, Ruptured Sky or Noontime to always proc them even past guard and infilicts guard on foe.
1:52 Though +Spd can help her keep up with the gang a bit more, still that requires a Trait Fruit use. Thankfully I did my Marisa's IV change when they were introduced and we were given a "free trial" of it.
Happy Sumias refine made her deserving of the 5* exclusive role. Waited like 2 years for her to come out and was upset she wasnt demoted, then it took me like a year or so to actually finish the merges so after all this time im happy S supported, +10, Max'd flowered. I just wish I built her more offensively so guess im going to have to wait for PTibrun to come back. Hoping fliers get some more offensive stuff later or they become more common.
Sumia pity broke me 3 times I'm glad I kept one and manual the other 2. Now she has a unique purpose. Also valentine Hector would have self synergy better if the healing did 25% max HP instead of 30.
If only the catch skills weren't limited to cav and fliers. Marisa with sudden panic could rock it if we ever get atk/spd 3 as a seal with the new duel skills.
wait, marisa's refine works at the start of COMBAT???? thats kinda wonky. it could work for 2 turn cooldowns, get around guard effects and pulse smoke and the like. it wouldnt allow time's pulse/quickened pulse or infantry pulse to stack with it if its worded correctly tho
8:35 It's important note when testing M!Morgan's refine that at the start of turns, he only gets his +5 field buffs if there is also an enemy within 4 spaces to receive the -5 debuffs as well. If he starts the turn too far away from enemies to apply his debuff effect, then he doesn't gain the field buffs from his weapon.
in my case in refinery armads i feel experimental and I use crafty fighter and combined rupture sky in it,I think combined much better to his -1 in the special effect,specially is the enemy are the typical special fighter hero and works specially in the ones like fallen tiki because the combination of damage in rupture sky and +10 in the special in the player phase,better than that¡¡I defeat a Idunn thanks to this combination
Pretty sure Marisa won't work with times pulse just how her weapon reads, it seems it checks your cd at start of a combat, not start of turn. If times pulse procs, you aren't at max value when you initiate, so shamshir won't give a bonus cool down.
Nope, It checks your special at the start of turn: "At start of turn, if special cooldown count is...", only the "buff" activates when she initiates (or is close to an ally). And i'm pretty sure someone on Reddit already tested her with time's pulse and said it works.
@@myselfalex15 Nope. Spiral works after combat. Pulse will work at the beginning of the first turn, but after that your cd will never be at maximum (except for enemy's increasing your cd). Pulse can't work in that scenario anymore, so only spiral will be functioning.
Hello, I come from the other side where Marisa has Spurn, fury4 and bonfire...it is glorious, only problem is she has trouble dying, so if you were looking for her to die easily, don't use this build.
I think my only problem is that I don't know what to do with him. XD Probably still giving him the panic smoke, but I'm contemplating if I give him Spd smoke instead. Also, just a thought, but The ideal and Catch skills. I lean more towards Catch, but Ideal could be an option if you can keep him healthy

@@reyesle6709 They're saying they kept summoning non-focus units on the AHR banner which were Fiora and Quan. Quan appeared here as if it's a calling but now they wonder why Fiora appeared. At least that's my interpretation. Also I absolutely summoned Sumia on that banner too so I understand this feeling of summoning a unit that immediately after got a refine
mmorgan is good on my debuff corrin team. That team is rather nasty (gunthraa? For the buff, corrin, clarisse and temari tethys), so i just can't swap for him on this one sadly, maybe some other time. The other refines are meh.
Sumia would be a better unit if she was either 3-4 as she needs as much investment as possible, or a newer 5 star with insane stats. I don’t think she has the raw stats to run her weapon well.

Could a +hp sudden panic Morgan work? Seriously asking, I have a +9 +hp Morgan just sleeping in my barracks, he reach 48 hp with max inv which is not a lot tbh (without counting posible blessing)
It might be fun for aether raids, but for other content a more practical build would just have panic smoke, since pve has hp inflation and arena has busted armor hp.

IS is holding off on armads refine so they can release it with dire thunder. Also I didn’t realize that they got rid of Morgan’s AoE.
This means he’s now more suited to being an offensive unit than he is a stat buffer and debuffer. It’s not that bad though, they really improved him!

As someone who has a +10 Marisa, I am SO relieved this refine didn’t disappoint! My baby’s all grown up now, and ready to kick some butt!

Ideals and Catch have different restrictions. Ideals are infantry/Armor while Catches are Cavalry/Flying.
