Velotric announces their Summit 1, this is their first jump into the eMTB category of electric bikes. Starting at $1799, the Summit 1 is no stranger to the tech, performance, and accessories that we've come to know from Velotric.
The Summit 1 is a Class 1, 2, or 3 aluminum framed hardtail electric bike with 120mm of front suspension. With a powerful motor and large battery, Velotric launches the Summit 1 for beginner and novice riders looking to expand their electric adventures to more rugged offroad terrain.
Starting at $1799, the Summit 1 comes in two frame sizes accommodating riders from 5'1" - 6'6" and will be available in three colors: Royal Blue, Sunrise Orange, and Space Black.

Hey guys been awhile, so time for company's to finally start to get away from cheap cadence garbage ebikes. And it's about time to
see U L approved batteries instead of following U L guidelines.. Have had close to a dozen bikes. Last 6 have all been torque sensors and last 2 are mis motors. An FLX Step Through 2.0 has the Bafang M 600 and a BikTrix Ultra Duo 4 the Bafang M 620 it's crazy power and If I'm in Sport and not careful ( I have to be in 7th ) I can snap a chain.. Having a blast and so glad to see you guys are doing well. I will be riding the Velotric next week . Ill let you know my thoughts.. All The Best. Ron.....
Just got my Summit 1, how the heck did you manage to get the top air cap off to adjust the air pressure in the fork? That thing is stuck on there good!
What do you guys suggest for me the Velotric summit 1 or the Aventon Ramblas
There is a RUclipsr that has some done some Summit upgrades - new Fox fork, Deore derailleur and shifter, new cassette - for a few hundred dollars, which makes the Summit more comparable, equipment-wise, with the Ramblas. I like the Summit has a higher speed rating.
Both are great! Sometimes I think the Summit is a better choice (with upgrades), sometimes I think the Ramblas might be.
I noticed the Ramblas reviews I’ve seen, the Ramblas motor seemed pretty loud and “whiny”.
We have a hard tail e-mtb video coming out in the few weeks. Keep an eye out for that where we talk about both bikes
Thank you for the video. Does anyone know if the GPS tracker is self-powered in the event the bike is stolen and the thief removes the main battery? Does it have cruise control like my Velotric Discover 2?
Can this bike be ordered with a better fork? Asking because I'd prefer Rockshox or Fox suspension forks.
Velotric does not offer alternative forks, but upgrading yourself would be very easy. We're considering a Marzocchi Z2 120mm (the 2023 model is on sale for $259).
I don't do apple products but my sister does. I assume I could set up the Apple Find my to her apple phone???

Forks are collapsing! Velotric have took the guy's bike back for investigation and gave him new one just now the forks blew out in his review and was just nothing the springs crumbled! He had to lock them out to get back to the car!

Wow! So, what you’re saying is, the bike had an issue, and the company sent him a whole new bike?! Sounds like a great company!
The same dude also said it was because he had been jumping the bike and the fork clearly states it's not rated for that. You can always upgrade the fork. Calm down.

Imagine if this was full suspension, duel motor, with a dropper post, more dialed bike sizes, and carbon fiber frame. If you know of a bike like this, please let me know!
@@ryanrodriguez1234 Well the Aventon Ramblas is a mid drive hard tail mountain bike with dropper post for $2599. I would love to see the Velotric Summit 1 directly compared to the Ramblas.
We are working on doing a hard tail mountain bike roundup and this Velotric and the Aventon Ramblas will be in it. Stay tuned for the video

A Shimano CUES spec would have been nice to see, however for less than $2000 a drivetrain upgrade in the future, by anyone who were to purchase, would be very easy.
