That was the very reason I made the map with this design was to enable a mid range computer to run it late game.

I'd like to but I'm not sure about what would be my USP. There are so meny channels although I'm tempted to buy a microphone and give it a try.

When you push TPF2 to it's limits.
The most annoying thing about transport Fever 2 is that one single little bird effect that repeats itself continuously

BUT IMHO the absolutely biggest offender is the sound of vannila diesel trains.
They make the same droning noise all the time, so much so that I rarely use them .

I'm interested in this game, but the one thing I don't like is when the cities become large, they become too close to each other on the map. It seems when you have a lot of trains, there isn't enough space between the cities to handle the traffic. Plus, it just looks too unrealistic to see major cities that close together from each other.
Thoughts?
Before I made this, I was watching a guy called 'Rail Dad' on youtube ... He drives freight trains through Central London IRL. the United Kingdom is a very densly populated island, we don't go far without tripping over another population centre.
I'm just wondering if you live in one of those vast countries?
You can also choose to play on large or even experimental mega maps with few towns. That should leave enough space.
How do you change between cameras?
Press Page up/page down if the loco supports it

This is actually an 'experimental map size' Tiny map. population of the single city is 10,000. I also kill alot of background programs when I record the game

love this. Really cool map. Not personally a fan of the amount of trains per consist, but you do you!
The mod ' Extended Game-play 2 ' makes the consits very heavy so I added all the extra power to get them moving a bit quicker.

@@oliverlacko4006 So sorry that I missed your comment, there is a mod called 'Extended Gameplay 2 ' it alters the power ratings of vannila locos and capacities of the wagons too.
It also works with some modded locos and wagons too !!
What I ment by 'adding extra power' was to use 2 locomotives instead of just one !
I have not yet seen snything in this game, wow that's fucking cool

what mod did you use for the container yard loading cranes? Are those actually functional at loading?
Hi this is the link to a safe german where you can find the mod modwerkstatt.com/downloads/umschlagbahnhof-frankfurtm-ost. It is ONLY available as a manuel install.
The mod cannot load the players trains, and is only eye candy.
Maybe UG can make it work for TpF3, we live in hope !
This game really needs a run round mod or edit so you can set it up that the engine will actively drive from one end of the train to the other if a siding is provided rather then just inverting as it currently does
I agree, however one of the mods I'm using is 'extended gameplay 2' and even though the max lengh of all trains is 160m, there is a stone train that weighs over 2700 tonnes so actually needs both locos
You can provide a loop track and signal it one-way. I try to do that to keep my trains from magically swapping around. Not quite the same as having the engines use a loop or eye, but it makes big coal mine pickups look great.
my pc can barely handle this game and i know this map would just crash my pc

Beautiful like the fusion of different countries' assets even if it feels a little cursed. The real Ilkley not to far from where I live isnt quite as big haha

Play the video again and enable 'subtitles' I write a little comment here and there as to what's going on
In the comments on the listing on Steam is a link to the mod list you don't need any that are not on steam.

They are done the same as the other trains in the game but only some of them (modded) have this abillity ,press 'page-up' or 'page-down' to scrole thru
fps is a luxury Transport Fever doesn't have

Hi Rob thanks for asking that! According to a mod called 'advanced statistics' that save had run for 279 hrs with a simulation time of 179 hrs..
that sounds alot, but not really cos I have clocked over 6500 hrs total in transport fever 2 !
The fact that all of that fits into the smallest map size is amazing!

Below that in the comments I pasted a link to a collection that will enable a single click download of all the mods need to run the map ..... The container terminal was downloaded from modwerkstatt Here modwerkstatt.com/downloads/umschlagbahnhof-frankfurtm-ost/ted
The site is German ... click 'TpF2 downloads' And select 'Barnhoff' from the drop down menu.

Wtf Russian wagons with European locomotives, this is incompatible
I class myself as one who likes trains, but I'm not really fussed about what wagon matches whichever loco, I mearly look for the wagon capacity and the required power output.
My game = my rules I'm affraid !!

The container asset looks amazing, I try to download it from a German site, I did it, and place the mod in the steam folder, close to the others. But I don't see it in game menu, should I replace the name but a random number, like the steam ones have?
Hi please wait why I try to remember how I did it , won't be long.
Place the downloaded file in this location
(the drive location for steam)/Program files (x86)/Steam/userdata/[your steam number}/1066780/local/mods
If the file 'mods' is not already there then you must create it.
If the file is zipped you may have to unzipp it inside that folder.

Hi, With over 6500 hrs in the game I am a long way past 'playing the game' and I never intended it to make money or in fact ever to be published, however I do feel that a savvy player could adapt it to make money at medium difficulty and I might even give it a try myself, but at the moment I'm working on something else.

How do you load containers onto trains?

You can add containers to you game from the Steam Workshop.
The mod is a self install from 'modwerkstatt.com. Search the site for containerterminal (all 1 word)

@15oktoober .. yes it loses loads of money, these kind of builds that are designed to just see if this or that was possible usually do .
It was an experiment to see if I could fill a map with a single town and how many industries I could squeeze in too..
I have a very large map that makes between $1.5 & $2.1 Billion each financial cycle. I personnally think it's a boring map but I would upload it to steam if you requested it.
If you machine runs this map ok you would be able to run that too as I think it runs better than this one does.
the population of that city is probably deaf from all the efficient mass transit
