Ever since this show aired, video chatting and Skyping had always been available so I don’t know how these people continue to get duped like this
There are other ways to tell when a profile is fake. When they only have 2 or 3 pics or they don't update frequently enough to show they are real or that their stories such as having kids don't actually match what they post, then they couldn't possibly be real.
It was available then too. Some people are just fucking stupid.

As a Social Worker, I think most of these people don't even have a psychiatric problem or mental health issue. It doesn't take a mental condition to be cruel and heartless.
