I love comparison videos. I don't even know if I've had both of them, but based on your description, they sound different. My question is how consistent batches are, because that could also make a difference, so there could be a reasonable amount of difference there as well. Thanks for the video.
Great Job!! I have both Blends and I don't believe they are not the Same. I enjoy them both. I enjoy the Virginia Slices more. I've had them since 2019. Thanks for sharing..........Jose from Texas
The P.S. Navy flake is definitely a va/per. I believe it has a bit of a rum casing as well (as many "Navy flakes" do). Probably just the same leaf, but a different processing as you suggested.
Good Morning 😊 Happy 2025 🎉👏🏼 Fantastic Video👌🏽 Great Review 💯 Thanks For The Comparison and Your Thoughts are Much Appreciated 👍🏼 Have a Blessed Week Ahead 🙏🏽 Greetings From South Africa 🇿🇦
Good heaven, i was not aware of that reference. They are not the same blend for sure! To my knowledge matter of fact the virginia slices was made for sutliff by mac baren and no its not the same as virginia flake no1. Just my 2 cents.
i dont belive that these blends are the same. 507c va slice is more orange hay citrus as you said. i think that perhaps they meant to say that Newminster 400 and PS400 are the same. it isn't hard to imagine that people in the companies would make this mistake. i have been planning a video comparison as well. all good blends as far as i am concerned
Just more BS from STG. They are clearly not the same. I think they may very well be the same underlying virginia and casing but navy has perique, virginia slices does not. Period.

A nice comparison, fellas. I agree, they are certainly not the same.

Great comparison! Thanks for bringing some clarity to a debate in the community.

There's no way, I'll miss the 507 slices, I hope C&D can produce something similar.
Me, too!

Funny I thought you weren’t a Virginia guy 😂
I’ll smoke just about anything! 😂

Yes!
Guess it’s BS from your beloved Sutliff who said exactly the same?
@DocBanjo I only heard it from LeonardW. But Sutliff is STG's boy.
Jeremy McKenna had confirmed it as well.
@DocBanjo Confirmed the "story".
