My frustration with South African rap is how they are sleeping on Cape Town Xhosa rap. The talent that is in Cape Town is enough to carry the country musically.

Xhosa is just a language its not a sub genre. It's Language .. I think the problem is ignorance.. some people won't give a chAnce to people who rap in a language they not used to hearing In rap.. unless it's really convincing. Example emtee on "thank u". He killed it and people loved it. One of our problems in SA hip hop and we think language Is a subgenre of hip hop. Why don't kwaito artists have xhosa kwaito, or Zulu kwaito? Or sotho kwaito?.
The history of SAHIPHOP needs to be told...... give thanks for this Interview I love it. In 2020 in Makhanda National Arts Festival we are having a hip-hop conference for 5 days to deal with more of these Conversations in totality..... Give thanks brothers
