In Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), Pakistan, Domel in the Minimarg valley (2845 m) is positioned directly at the Line of control (LOC). Minimarg was formerly a part of the historic trade route connecting Srinagar and Gilgit until 1948, when India and Pakistan began to fiercely battle for their control over the region.
