this is based of the idea that when tbhk ends hanako and mitsuba um dont exist anymore,, or at least the nearshore and farshore cant access eachother anymore, and nene and kou going on to live their lives without them. This video isn't to say rhey spend the rest of their lives grieving over them but more of the idea that some days are harder than others remembering that you'll never see the lover of your youth again. (assuming mitsukou becomes canon, I don't think it'll be canon but it is for the sake of this video okay!) Even in real life losing your first love to death when you're young can be hard, so they're absolutely no exception to having to deal with that grief. Basically in this au sort of to fill that empty space Kou and Nene attempt to fill that vacant space for eachother and eventually get married in part to the fact that as a Minamoto I would think that would be expected if you have such a powerful bloodline, (IM NOT SAYING KOU AND NENE HAVE KIDS, you can interpret it romantically or not romantically, I don't care) and Nene and Kou are one in the same in going through the same thing and they've become familiar and dealing with their grief with eachother and yeah!
