Absolutely astounding! Bravo!! Not only is Dupré smiling, so is Virgil Fox! This rendition is, to my ears, very reminiscent of Virgil’s own masterful recording of this work from The Riverside Church, NYC. Sebastian, you rock!!
Sebastian!! This work not only is one of my favorites from Dupre, or even from the French organ realm: This may be one of my all-time favorites from anywhere in the world! When I was learning that first section, my instructor recalls my eyes lighting with surplus joy when the Voix Celestes came in. But I continue, this may be my *favorite* rendition of this piece I believe I’ve heard in my life. Performance in excelsior and stunning levels! Wow!! :-D
