I'm from sweden and i had visited india in 2015 and i discovered about Gurukula. I ended up spending 2 years in a Gurukula in Uttarakhand. In less than 2 years, i learned more than what i did in 21 years.❤️ I just wish Mother India calls me back in her lapse.

I only faced bullying, intoxication of the body, hate, insults and abusive behaviour, stress, anxiety, feeling of commit suicide, in my modern school and missed this pure nectar of living.
k k you are missing the point; The school is aimed at cultivating spiritual science; and while yes surely it should admit orphans & poor, it should admit folks irrespective of thier pocket size. A person can be rich or poor and be good or bad-that gives 4 combinations possible; The school is aiming for enriching culture, not wallet size. Infact anybody willing to work on their spiritual & existential aspect is free to enquire about purpose of life-no need to go to this particular school either. I havent gone but if I aspire, Iam sure one can find alternatives as guided by supersoul in ones heart. It is like pure air, which is for free, only thing is one need to inhale.
Gurukul is not for that purpose Gurukul purpose is to make such a quality men that these quality men stops the bad effects ( karma ) of the people who do sinful acts and take birth as ophen child and poor child

I am happy to see it that now worldwide teaching and learning method of our ancient sages and saints is being adopted by several countries.Now we Indians too have to revive that spirit of our sages within us that all our Hindu deities too received during their time .And think they had created history with those teaching of Gurukul.
I love this Gurukal. But I have a suggestion. Gurukul should also include subjects like science (physics, biology, chemistry, astronomy, etc) in it's curriculum. It would help a child very greatly for the future and not to mention, take most of the scepticism of people and make them want to admit their children there. What is more beautiful than that ? Learning in the gurukul lifestyle, about god, learning service and gratitude as well as receiving the best knowledge of sciences and the world.

Vedic schools are now limited to South India only. Other Indians study just Shukla Yajurveda for performing 16 sanskars from birth to death. Also Rigveda might be there but not all four. Recitation method has been lost in my opinion.
They are sending their children to such gurukul bcs they have understood the importance of sankrit and it's deep knowledge in historic books of Hinduism
let kids learn everything in gurukul ,dance,music, litratures, games ,science history ,scriptures everything they want freely. let them work on field or carry loads if they want. dont level it saying its child abuse. the more childrens experience these activities the more they became consious and strong in thier latter life.

Beautiful to watch mayapur gurukul ashram school, the world needs spiritual gurukul school in every country, every state, every city.
I love to see ancient traditional education and peace of mind.
These kids are so blessed and lucky to live an an Indian monastery.
I am quite elated that my hometown is Krishnanagar, Nadia.Only a few kilometres away from Mayapur.
The whole world needs many more Gurukuls.
I wish I could attend this school. These kids are blessed to have that life. We need more such schools please.
