Animal sacrifice was rejected in the puranas.... Kalika purana mentions sacrifice as symbolic of human vices and not physical sacrifice of animals.... I don’t think Indians have forgotten our rich culture and traditions and way of life. The fact that our way of life lives on in-spite of 1000 years of foreign invaders and colonialism, our practices of today are very similar to 1000 years ago. What is in the scriptures are still followed, the Bhakti tradition of the great South Indian sages and alwars are still prevalent in India and we are fine. There is nothing in learning the good things in west.
Sometimes i just imagine, how great Rama and Krishna would have been, that even after 4000 yrs people still write songs and dance and poems after him n are madly in love with him and his lilas. And i just feel goosebumps n start crying. Even your family wont remember you after 100 yrs.
