From the archives of Sathir Dance Art Trust:
The famous Jathiswaram in rāgamālikā and misra chapu talam.
Composer: Tanjore Quartet
Originally from: A Musical Anthology of the Orient by (Alain Danielou). Music recorded in or shortly before 1963. The musicians are the orchestra of Radha Burnier (née Radha Sri Ram) the first student to graduate in Kalakshetra. Radha Burnier likely learned this jathiswaram from Pandanainallur Chockalingam nattuvanar (1893-1968), during his time at Kalakshetra. Additionally, he taught her the varnam “E maguva bodhincera” in ragam dhanyāsi and talam ādi, composed by Tanjore Quartet Chinnayya Pillai (1802-56).
Since 1989, Sathir Dance Art Trust has curated a vast collection of hundreds of Bharatanatyam songs. These include old recordings of the Tanjore Quartet, orchestrated by nattuvanars, and some sung by hereditary dancers. Additionally, the collection includes many old and newer recordings of contemporary composers. Access Sathir Dance Art: sathirdance.wordpress.com

Beautiful Jathiswaram in 5 ragas! This recording comes from “Alain Daniélou - India II - Music Of The Dance And Theatre Of South India”. I didn’t know that the orchestra was of Radha Sri Ram, so thank you that piece of information!
I have the LP. Additionally, I have a copy of the master which has the complete dhanyasi varnam and another varnam not on the album.
@@sathirdance please post them someday :)
I might do that ….soon… :)
