Gorgeous bike !!!!! Congratulations !!! As an Electronics engineer i would advise you to put heat shrink around the wires so you can protect them a lit more , but keep in mind if you ever want to access those wires is going to be a bit of a job.
Front fender has unique wings on the rear portion. I like the cold start button but looks difficult to reach, but their way to shut off by twisting throttle forward is cool. And tool less shock adjusters.

Awesome video! I’m glad you covered the temperature sensor, but without a fan, can you see the engine operating temperature? In the KTM website says that you can see the temperature at a glance…I don’t know if they meant that the computer can check it for the general function if the engine. I’m waiting for my 300 XC to arrive at any time…so exciting!!!
Just subscribed. I ordered the sx300. Just waiting for the dealer to call me. Not sure sure on how much differences there are between both models but I imagine they are similar. Seeing this content gets me excited for my new bike
Keep telling the lady I want a new 250 or 300. Her brain says no you can’t even ride and really hurt and my brain says it’s important to my recovery having something to look forward to and work towards everyday.
I think the kickstand is the only thing I hate on my '22 TX. I've lost the stupid retainer spring twice in 6 months. Love the new design, hopefully it functionally works.
In my experience at the shop and riding, I feel like they are just not as responsive and quick as a carbed bike and now this bike. We have done every mod you can do to them and they get pretty good for sure but not as good. Also, we have taken a bunch apart at low hours 100 or less and had the cylinder all scratched up. I think it’s obvious that even KTM knows they aren’t great because of this complete redesign. KTM doesn’t usually switch everything so quickly. All that being said, I also know people like yourself who love their TPI bikes. It seems like they are inconsistent. Also, I don’t mind mixing gas at all.
Congrats ! I like the look, but I wish they would get away from white, the Oklahoma red dirt stains them up after one ride. Debating selling my '22 300xc now. I'll see what you take is on these bikes
@@highlandcycles you're saying the fan for a 2021 KTM 300 mounts up to this radiator? is there a power lead so it will run from the ECU via relay or do you have to wire it to the battery? how are you controlling it going on/off if it's wired to the battery?
There are definitely some great upgrades on these new generation bikes, KTM really keeps pushing two stroke technology forward which is awesome. But as with any all new model some things will inevitably be fail points and then corrected in the next couple years. I'll wait a couple model years before I buy one.
Can you make adjustments for what temperature the fan turns on with your fan set up OR is it better to go with the trail tech set up that has a easily accessible display and adjustability?
@@HuntertheHoleshotKing Yes. So far I can't tell that you can do anything on purpose. I know it will flash if there is an error code but I can't find a way to make it do anything.
TPI was a failure because at every start up the top end only got gasoline and no oil via the fuel injectors for the 1st 1 - 3 revolutions. Leading to all the seizures people had. Things I don’t get: 1. Why does KTM not give us a spark arrester screen in the silencer??? It’s needed almost everywhere and it’s not a performance issue. It’s so dumb. They should make the cap removable and give us the screen. 2. Kickstarters!!! Why do they take them off 🤦🏼♂️ 3. Plastic radiator cap makes no sense. Why change the design of a tried and true cap??? 4. Personal preference, but I don’t get white plastics on a dirt bike. It’s hard to keep clean and shows dirt more. I have 2022 tpi 300xc w about 50 hrs and really like and haven’t had any engine issues thankfully. What are the issues you’ve experienced or seen with tpi that makes them “failures”?
I have seen a lot of premature wear. It is usually caused by not warming up the bikes properly and I don't like the way they run in stock form. Too soft for my liking
