Here to say also own mortal kombat and the ost. I fell in love with every band on both soundtracks and still listen to KMFDM. Saw them live for the 40th anniversary 🎉
i used to hate that mortal kombat was toned down to the point it turned into kids show. but hey, at least entire generation grew up with a good taste in music. 🙃
In an era of shoddy AI-upscaled videos, seeing an actual real remaster of analog media warms my heart Besides seeing Patlabor footage in 4K is fucking epic
I remember when this album was released and I had to go snag the CD from a store as soon as I could. Nihil is still one of my favorite albums of all time and one I never really skipped around on for songs. I didn't get to see KMFDM until around 2002 live, unfortunately. It was a great show and my buddy and I were quite happy to see them after being fans for over 10 years. We decided to try and meet the band afterwards and we did. It was cool how they treated the fans who decided to go hang out with them for a few minutes before they went onto their bus, talking and taking pictures. One of the few bands that I've got to meet members after their show.
When I was an "exotic dancer" this was my most requested song to perform to, surprisingly by the other girls. We had fun. Geez, that was nearly 3 decades ago 😳
What's most striking is just how much thinner En Esch's head was back in the day. He seems to have grown a full inch of skull width in his later years. I met him, Raymond and Gunther at the PIG VIP Meet and Greet on the Swine and Punishment tour in London back in 2017. Top dudes and fantastic musicians!
Thx to this band now is a hole of school shooting. Didn't you hear about Jakola High School Massacre 12/7/2007? He used the Stray bullet song to kill 8 students and injured 1 just to shoot himself in the end
I remember reading somewhere that the music you’re into when you’re 19 will pretty much be what you’re into for the rest of your life. This confirms it.
When Nihil was released I borrowed the CD from CD rental and searched for somebody who owns a CD player to record it to a tape. Still have that tape and still have a tape player so I can play it. 90's were a great times!
Today after about 13 yers I asked myself: What's going on with KMFDM? After entering to RUclips search was happy to see the new clip on this channel. Happy long living guys, hello from Ukraine!
this was the soundtrack of my teenage years that included NIN, the chili peppers, jane's addiction, nirvana, pearl jam, soundgarden, rage, and metallica. good times. i need to show my niece and nephew some good music when they get older.
I read in an interview that Sascha felt it sounded cheesy, and that it became so popular that there was a huge demand to play it all the time. Imagine making a song that you like the least out of your catalogue and it's the most popular. That can't be an enjoyable experience.
While bouncing at the Masquerade and Chamber...I'd have to take a break when KMFDM came on :) Still blare this one in my car. About to be 49 at the turn of the year. Good memories.
Yep, it's so strange. I remember this song as being used in the MTV intros. The teenage me loved all of its melodramic darkness. Sad how things unfold.
@peterlopez6274 I agree changes to the system are needed. But, it is a shame that musicians that have nothing to do with the events are being labeled unfairly.
Saw PIG in Pittsburgh a few years ago. Forgot about them. Walked into the venue and there was a guy sitting at the bar and I'm thinking he looks really familiar...... Turns out it was En Esch. One of the OG's.
I remember helping out a deeply religious fellow soldier, giving her a ride in the rain when we were in Germany. This song was playing and she instantly thought I would join her going to church. That was in 2000. Still rocking to KMFDM.
This changed my life as a teen when it was in the background in the movie Bad Boys, had not really heavy guitars and dancey electronics together, still one of my fav songs all these years later
Fucking CLASSIC. I just wish the rest of the KMFDM album catalogue had more in common with NIHIL than it does. Alas, it seems NIHIL was a bit of a one-off record in terms of that overall sound. Absolutely KILLER record, though!
Anime clips are from the movie called :Patlabor 2: The Movie", which was directed by Mamoru Oshii, who later became a director a widely known anime movie called "Ghost in the Shell".
@@okapplesauce Interesting, thank you! I love KMFDM, but I have to question Manga Entertainment's decision there: "Ultra" in Street Fighter II: The Movie, I can buy that, but "Juke Joint Jezebel" in Patlabor? I do not think so... 😅
@@JohnnyTheWolf-d3p They didn't use it in the Patlabor soundrack, presumably KMFDM had an agreement with Manga to let them use the footage from Patlabor as part of the deal that let Manga use Ultra in the Street Fighter II dub and some trailers.
First KMFDM song I ever heard on the og Mortal Kombat OST. Here I am, 28 years later, still grooving the ULTRA HEAVY BEAT!!! 2024!!!
Same, had that soundtrack on repeat for years
Here to say also own mortal kombat and the ost. I fell in love with every band on both soundtracks and still listen to KMFDM. Saw them live for the 40th anniversary 🎉
That was my start as well. Megalomaniac on the Annihilation soundtrack sealed the deal and I bought Symbols and then Nihil.
i used to hate that mortal kombat was toned down to the point it turned into kids show. but hey, at least entire generation grew up with a good taste in music. 🙃
yep, me also from the cd that came with the game pack. i think i saw that that cd is valuable somewhere. this song just jams.
This video's initial release introduced me to KMFDM AND Patlabor. Double win 😁!
Nihil criminally underrated, one of the best industrial records ever.
Totally agree
lol no, but Jennifer Ginsberg certainly was, the 94-96 era would have been nothing without her

ага прочувствовала, а я люблю кмфдм с 1999 года
я как это слушаю как попадаю на 25 лет назад и в свою школу, тогда это чувствовалось нереально по крутому
In an era of shoddy AI-upscaled videos, seeing an actual real remaster of analog media warms my heart
Besides seeing Patlabor footage in 4K is fucking epic
I got best of both worlds. I heard them play it on Halloween and I have Patlabor on laserdisc at home 😅
I remember when this album was released and I had to go snag the CD from a store as soon as I could. Nihil is still one of my favorite albums of all time and one I never really skipped around on for songs.

Similar story here. I got my KMFDM t-shirt signed by all members of the band.
Certified hood classic
hood classic and mainstream classic overall like it or not.
When I was an "exotic dancer" this was my most requested song to perform to, surprisingly by the other girls. We had fun. Geez, that was nearly 3 decades ago 😳
Is this real has a whole new meaning
And unfortunately there is garbage everywhere you go, some people call it trash & most agree & it needs to be taken to the curb for disposal!!
I never clicked so fast on a video for a LONG time! I love this song!

Saw KMFDM a few month ago. Still put on an amazing show!
All hail Raymond Watts! The GOAT.
saw PIG in Chicago earlier this year and my head went thru the roof when he played this
Praise the Lard
pfff commie nonsense
WE LOVE RAYMOND WATTS‼️‼️
Better than the best.
Harder than the rest
Still hoping for a Raymond and En Esch reunion back into KMFDM. Rip the System!
This song is still brilliant. Thank you for being you.
BE MINE, SISTER SALVATION !!!! JUKE JOINT JEZEBEL IS COMING FOR MY CREMATION !!!!
Thx to this band now is a hole of school shooting. Didn't you hear about Jakola High School Massacre 12/7/2007? He used the Stray bullet song to kill 8 students and injured 1 just to shoot himself in the end
“Hello baby, did you miss me?”
- Kano
We love you KMFDM!
Never expected KMFDM to cross over with Patlabor, but it's awesome!
IIRC KMFDM was featured on a US MANGA CORPS promo video that was on tons of anime taps back in the day, solidifying the association for all time.
I remember reading somewhere that the music you’re into when you’re 19 will pretty much be what you’re into for the rest of your life. This confirms it.
I love these remaster videos. I hope they keep making more.
PATLABOR+KMFDM=PERFECTION!
It is patlabor?
@@te9591 A great little anime about mecha piloting cops.

Peak KMFDM for me! Blasted this song on my headphones as I walked through my college campus!
Today after about 13 yers I asked myself: What's going on with KMFDM? After entering to RUclips search was happy to see the new clip on this channel. Happy long living guys, hello from Ukraine!
Ukraine here again, KonietzKO is our guy:):)
Slava! 💙💛
Finally! This remaster was long over due
This video lights me up. Gives me my salvation.
Chicago Halloween night was next level! Thank you guys so so so much!!! 40 years!!! 🤘🏽🤘🏽💗💗
This takes me back to better times
The Nihil album is a masterpiece, thank you for it :)
this was the soundtrack of my teenage years that included NIN, the chili peppers, jane's addiction, nirvana, pearl jam, soundgarden, rage, and metallica. good times. i need to show my niece and nephew some good music when they get older.
My absolute favorite song by kmfdm this is also the album that hooked me
Killer song and video! Still a classic!
My favourite song of all time ever!
Congratulations on 40yrs! This is awesome.
This song has been living in my head rent free for a decade. Thanks for bringing it back.
KMFDM never left.
Just one?
one of my all time favourite songs
That mid 90's Manag Anime promo was always GOAT'd
I love this way too much
Never understood why they hated this song so much and never play it live. It's so good!
We're playing it on this tour!
40 year concert tour and they skipped it like the krunts they are...
@officialkmfdm hell yes you did. And it was glorious. Cant wait for part 2 tonight.
I read in an interview that Sascha felt it sounded cheesy, and that it became so popular that there was a huge demand to play it all the time. Imagine making a song that you like the least out of your catalogue and it's the most popular. That can't be an enjoyable experience.
I just saw it live with PIG
Thank you for all this masterpiece

53 here, and I remember seeing them at The Masquerade as well. I miss that joint as much as I miss seeing them.
this is so epic. wish i could’ve seen you guys live for this :(
Been long time know kmfdm, couple week a go got nihil CD Japan, 1st press inlc the sticker, when this song running I just fall in love with this band
Wont ever stop! Tnx Capt. K.
Welp, these videos are about to explode in popularity for all the wrong reasons.
Yep, it's so strange. I remember this song as being used in the MTV intros. The teenage me loved all of its melodramic darkness. Sad how things unfold.
y’all mean all the right reasons surely. This is a good thing major changes are already happening in our sickcare system
@peterlopez6274 I agree changes to the system are needed. But, it is a shame that musicians that have nothing to do with the events are being labeled unfairly.
Looks and sounds awesome!
Bring En Esch back :D btw just heard this live at a PIG concert and it was one of the greatest experiences I've had
KMFDM and 90's Anime OVA's. Always a match made in heaven.
KMFDM, doing it again!
Oh Dear KMFDM, If you would remaster Megalomaniac too, that would be like a Dream come true! 🙏
Megalomaniac is pretty much the perfect music video. Every frame is iconic.
I've always had trouble getting people to understand that "the Mortal Kombat song" is in fact Juke Joint Jezebel by KMFDM.
Finally remastered!
Such a kick ass song! Kmfdm is nothing without watts and esch though!!! All hail the swine of PIG!!!
Saw PIG in Pittsburgh a few years ago. Forgot about them. Walked into the venue and there was a guy sitting at the bar and I'm thinking he looks really familiar...... Turns out it was En Esch. One of the OG's.
As much as I love KMFDM, and Lucia. But I really miss the Symbols Era. I miss En Esche, Raymond Watts and Gunter Schulz.
At least Watts is still carrying on that wicked KMFDM beat with PIG
I remember helping out a deeply religious fellow soldier, giving her a ride in the rain when we were in Germany. This song was playing and she instantly thought I would join her going to church. That was in 2000. Still rocking to KMFDM.
This is the song that got me into KMFDM. I bought my very first CD, the Mortal Kombat soundtrack, so I could listen to it.
This changed my life as a teen when it was in the background in the movie Bad Boys, had not really heavy guitars and dancey electronics together, still one of my fav songs all these years later
yes, this plays in my DNA. They helped create me.
the best the world is ever going to be.
Saw PIG play this song live on Monday night and WOW!!!! It was absolutely incredible!! 🖤🤘🎸
Always liked this song.
KMFDM doin' it again❣
Looks even better all cleaned up and in HD! KMFDM for life!!!
NO WAY THIS IS MY FAVORITE ONE
All time great.
2024 going into election season, cant wait to jam kmfdm when fit hits the shan.
“Stars and stripes”
A remaster of this song being an AMV is the last thing I was expecting. Appropriate though to the time period it came out in originally, I suppose.
I just hit repeat all day long
Yessssssss
when the pen is truly mightier than the sword.
YES YES AND MORE YES
Masterpiece
YESSSSSSS
Damn that was good. and I need to rewatch patlabour
Hell yeah
Still here in 2024!!
Fucking CLASSIC.

Very proper video
Oh hey, it was Patlabor, how about that? Loved that series.
Heck of an anthem
KMFDM - Rocks !
I just saw PIG in seattle recently and Raymond Watts and En Esch still kickin Ass. Steve white too 😎 Juke Joint had us all singing along
They did JJJ in PDX also, vid on my page..
Awesome! Good to know! TNX

Fantastic 🎶✨
Это классика.😎
my favorite song on the Mortal Kombat movie soundtrack ❤🔥 would have never discovered you guys otherwise, here I am this many years later
Got to see this live twice within a month. PIG played it in Milwaukee, KMFDM played it in Milwaukee. And likely again tonight in Chicago! Can’t wait.
Killer dude, Pig was awesome in Seattle
My first KMFDM song.. back when I was like 13-14 years old in the late 90s.. damn - seeing the video in good quality is awesome!
The actual official theme song for MANGA VIDEO.
Wasn’t it Ultra? I loved that promo!
@distantstorm1257 your absolutely correct. I was thrown off by the animal clips of the Manga videos
Hand on my heart, I listened to the original of this song this morning... preworkout.
Thanks for keeping cool alive.
40 years of the Ultra Heavy Beat
Absolutely outstanding.
Mortal Kombat (1995)!
Wait, Patlabor?!? I have seen it with the English dub, but I do not recall this track being featured anywhere in the movie.
Manga the company that released a bunch of anime in the 90s used kmfdm in a lot of the intros.
