At the start of the season I struggled to think of an established premier league side that might make way for one of the promoted sides. There is a real divide in the quality of the players. I really don't want to equal Derby's record and hope that we can finish the season looking much stronger and that Ivan will be happy to lead us in the Championship. I would like to keep a manager for a longer period for once and really give them a chance to build a team. It won't be easy of course but supporting Saints (in my case for over 50 years) is never easy. Love the channel Martin and keep up the good work.
Another informative opinion piece. Nicely edited too with the change of camera at appropriate moments. I only found your channel a few weeks ago and the improvement in production values has been noticeable over that period. The most professional of the Saints podcasts by a long way even down to the Q-code and the RUclips, Spotify etc etc logos to remind people where they can find you. Very good indeed, and I can see your subscriptions are increasing relatively rapidly and deservedly so. Really well done!
Intensity is the key! I watched Liverpool on Boxing Day and they are simply relentless and so powerful. If we can be 50% of that we might stand a chance in this league
Agree with what you are saying about Tall Paul - added a new and decisive aspect to the team. When he gets his shooting boots on, he’ll prob be our top scorer this season.
Top 3 of the calendar year in reverse order - Joint 3rd (sorry for the cheat) are the home games with Huddersfield and Watford, both brilliant exciting games; 2nd is Wembley; top is WBA semi-final home leg….just incredible tension which really paid off.
My ‘top’ 3 are all bad: 1. The team started the season without a real striker; 2. The way fans turned on RM with such viciousness; and 3. Those pink jerseys.
I actually came away having enjoyed the match even though we lost and we seemed to get on with play quicker I think if this season is a lost cause we will be in a good place to attack the championship next season I will never forget the playoff semifinal second leg the final the promotion party thankyou for that Russell but it had to change
You will find Palace tough! I saw them play on Boxing Day and they’re a well drilled side, defend really well but were poor in the final third! They’re a very strong and physical side that’ll force you to play the way they want you to!
@ you’ll see that they really like to whip crosses in very early which caught us out a few times! They have a low block and sit very deep but have a lot of pace and hit you on the counter! They definitely should be much higher up than they are!
Fed up with commentators and co-comms always mentioning the 9 nils when they commentate on Saints games. We have to get more than Derby’s 11 points. If we don’t we will be a laughing stock forever!

Maybe ABK could be redeployed as DM alongside Les, that would be some unit

Thought Tall Paul was a revelation. We finally has a focus up front!

It's criminal three managers had a easy tactical set up with a six foot 8 striker, and never used it.

Sorry missed you live!
Love the Chanel
Thank you so much

I think it will be a right test for us. They have more than enough to stay up palace I think. We will have to be right at it to stand any chance

West Ha
West Brom welble 5:3 win
We were better against West Ham. Onwards and upwards!
Hope to see U keep seeing U walk past
Don’t want to say it however the three promoted sides will be relegated. Remember we had to win the playoffs and last season we still let in 63 goals!
