I bought my first bike last summer its a 2009 yamaha 650 silverado classic. Came with saddle bags aftermarket exhaust and adjustable windshield and wider seat and a headlight shade thing. All black with chrome accents everywhere. Has only 2100 kms on it . Payed 8,000 for it canadian. Bikes for some reason go alot cheaper in the USA. But anyways going for my license this summer . Pretty excited
I got my first Yamaha Vstar 650 in 2010. I have owned 3 of these, my latest one I just bought last week. The Yamaha Vstar 650 Silverado is by FAR my favorite bike. Even thought its a cruiser, I have done 4 solo cross country trips on mine, and can easily do 600+ miles a day on it. Its not a fast bike, but its solid, and starts up like it cant wait to be out on the road, EVERY TIME, even in the dead of winter after it has sat for a month or 2.
Easiest most buttery bike to clutchless shift, but one big draw back to these is if you don’t get them cheap, I guarantee you that you will end up having to sell it cheap, they’re not a very valuable bike. Super solid bike though and so cozy to ride.
the bike has 14K miles on it? that is a 100,000 mile motorbike, you got a great deal. All they need is oil, filters and tires. I see them on Craigstlist a few times a year for less than $2000. I already have a 650 that I got 10 years ago for $3.3k (with 7k miles) , and a V4 1300 Royal Star that I got for $3k (with 18k miles)... so I dont really need a spare. But its nice to know they are around. yours would have more HP if you left the baffles in, you have de-tuned the exhaust I have to give you credit, riding around you are reving it up like it needs. These are high RPM engines, if you are not hitting the rev limiter, you have not hit the peak HP yet. Dont lug it like its a HD.
Beautiful V Star 650 Custom! Never saw that color before? Bikes like that are 2-3 times that price here anywhere near Cleveland, OH. I went a couple hours away to Mansfield to look at and buy my V Star 250. Dealer wouldn't go less than 3,900 for the 2018 bike with 5,094M on it. Same bike, different color with less milage in MN was 3,200. And that's 5 states away from me! I wish I could get a V Star 650 Custom that cheap!?
I just got one in a trade for $400 trade value with 11k miles. Needs new tires and I have to do some title work since it’s an abandoned barn find, but I’m happy.
@unstoppableking3235 if it has nothing wrong with it that's a decent price. I would've talked em down to maybe 11 or 12 but that ain't bad though. I bought my 04 650 for 2300 and all it needs is a new headlight bulb and a valve adjustment and oil change
@@imrelentless97650s are cheaper but the 1100s don't go for much more tbh maybe like 400 or 500 more than a 650. I'd get the 1100 though if it were me
I bought mine for $1,400 about 4 years ago. A ton of work and 15,000 miles later, I still have my V-Star and it still rides great despite the hell I’ve put it through 😂
Whats up bro!!! its been a while .. glad ya good... I been rocking with ya since before ya had 100 subs... lol... but keep doing ya thing bro.. salute!!
The xvs 650s are generally bullet proof well engineered and incredibly reliable they go on and on, shaft drives on these are very good.... so long as you change the oil every so often it wont let you down....
That is a score. I actually just picked up a 98 V Star 650 7k miles a couple of months ago first motorcycle for dirt cheap from a motorcycle shop. But since it is winter I am not riding it. Battery died, :( I tried to start it a couple of days ago just to sit on it. lol. Will ride it for a couple of years and pick up a Bonneville.
Thank you so much! amazing video! Wasnt sure about this brand & model ect. Buying my 1st bike. I found 1 of these in my area at a great price. Thank u!
I actually looking to buy this exact bike to even the color & they’re asking 2200$ with 17k miles. This would be my first bike purchase so I’m a little worried
I just picked up a 2006 35k miles for $200. Leaking oil and wasnt running. Just the plastic sensor was cracked for the oil so $12 fix there and than a good carb cleaning should, hopefully, take care of the non running part.
Yes dude omg 😱 I am saving for a Honda shadow but this one is nice I only have 2500 so far once I have 4000 imma go look at the Honda shop. I’ll buy that bike now
cheap bikes are ok if the sellers are honest.....ii bought a bike for $1250 which was advertised as running when parked....so i thought it should only need carb clleaning....but actually it was a broken cam chain.....so the chain broke while parked eh....LOL
Hell yeah, short of perhaps missing safety features, I don't want to part with my hard earned money. Maintenance is going to be a little more expensive perhaps than a new one, but you have the luxury of picking one that is known to be reliable. I picked up a €1200 Deauville that has cost me all of €450 in maintenance so far in a couple of years. Fantastic bike, though a little dull. I like dull.

I bought a 2006 yamaha vstar 650 for 3000 canadian. Good luck getting your license brother
You picked a good dependable bike.

hell yeah just picked one up for 1800 with 12k on it! You're killing me with that white zip tie on JBL 😂 they do come in Black.

Yes so easy to clutchless shift on these
I paid 2300 for a WAY worse condition bike. Great find!
the bike has 14K miles on it?

Glad to see ur back keep up the good content❤
Cruisers are really great bikes in their own right. Excellent deal my man
$1300 unbelievable, I bought mine last year with $2500 and had 5k miles 2006 model.
What cc? Cause I see alot that are 600 cc and some that are 1000cc so idk what I should expect on payment
I bought one yesterday with 20,000 mileage for $14 . A 1999 u think its a good deal?

Just picked up a 2002 classic 650. Love it .. paid 1400. Great shape bags. Mustang seat. Minor plus
Mustang seat is a Major plus.
Just bought a vstar. My very first bike just got my license..only ever rode while doing my motorcycle class
I bought mine for $1,400 about 4 years ago. A ton of work and 15,000 miles later, I still have my V-Star and it still rides great despite the hell I’ve put it through 😂
love my 2009 vstar 650 my one gripe is it really needs one more gear out on the highway
Whats up bro!!! its been a while .. glad ya good... I been rocking with ya since before ya had 100 subs... lol... but keep doing ya thing bro.. salute!!

I enjoy your videos :/ just wish you would post more lol learn a lot from you
I'm not sure if it is an actual crime, but you stole that bike.
I got one of these last year for the same price it’s been a great ride
Thank you so much! amazing video! Wasnt sure about this brand & model ect. Buying my 1st bike. I found 1 of these in my area at a great price. Thank u!
$1300 is a great price. I got my VSTAR for $1600 with 3000 miles on her. Awesome bike!
A V star 650 would be a good deal at under $2,000. Getting one for $1,300 is a great deal.
I actually looking to buy this exact bike to even the color & they’re asking 2200$ with 17k miles. This would be my first bike purchase so I’m a little worried
Never knew that you can switch gears without clutching 😮
I just picked up a 2006 35k miles for $200. Leaking oil and wasnt running. Just the plastic sensor was cracked for the oil so $12 fix there and than a good carb cleaning should, hopefully, take care of the non running part.
let me know how it goes! 200 would be a steal to get this thing for! mechanic special
Thats a steal
Did it fix?
Yes dude omg 😱 I am saving for a Honda shadow but this one is nice I only have 2500 so far once I have 4000 imma go look at the Honda shop. I’ll buy that bike now
Do you want a go-pro mount for (moto)Chris-mas? 😅
These comments keep getting more and more cleaver😅 you guys seriously just need to take over💀
Yes I would I'm about to buy one ....same bike for 4,000 2007....8,000 + miles. Do you think I should buy?
4k seems a bit much. Just paid 2200 for my 05 with 15k
Hay, where are you from.
I wouldn't pay anything for that bike after watching how you drove it, that gearbox isn't long for this world m8
How did you remove the baffles?
Seen one on sale for $1,200 in good condition might pick it up for a second bike
How was the gas mileage with the baffles taken out?
Do you have a quick shifter installed? You never clutched in. Might be a dumb question, btw.
I don't but you can shift almost any bike with some finesse and practice without clutching in
New sub...... Don't let me down lol. Good video
1998 vstar 650 for 1500$? Is that good?
cheap bikes are ok if the sellers are honest.....ii bought a bike for $1250 which was advertised as running when parked....so i thought it should only need carb clleaning....but actually it was a broken cam chain.....so the chain broke while parked eh....LOL
would this be comfortable for a tall guy? 6'3"
i bought a 2009 v star 650 midnight custom for 1,500 7k miles
it even has a bell under the engine ,what could be better
Just picked one up . 1900.00. 5304 miles
Would a 96 with 7k miles and a 650 engine be worth 2500$
Offer 1700
I got one for $50 bucks great bike to ride around the yard
I just got a 2011 vstar that looks and runs great by trading a computer
Pretty easy to find deals on cruisers.
Depends on your area
What about 2000 3800 miles for $3500
Hell yeah, short of perhaps missing safety features, I don't want to part with my hard earned money. Maintenance is going to be a little more expensive perhaps than a new one, but you have the luxury of picking one that is known to be reliable.
