LESSGO PERCHANCE MENTIONED I know I've said it so many times in the comments but Perchance is bloody amazing. You aren't only just limited to chatbots too, there is also AI RPG, story generators, and way more.
Its honestly really good since it has everything but complaints (for what I tested) 1. Responses are more focused on the objective of the story instead of the moment (for example, I made a Mikasa Ackerman character there, and every time we talk, she keeps saying along the lines, 'Yes, that is interesting, but remember we must focus on the mission', 'We can have rest today, but remember we have the mission', etc.), to which she keeps saying, 'XXX, but we have a mission'. It was so annoying that the bot follows whatever focus on the story, if it was about killing titans, etc. 2: Resposes in Perchance are yet less immersive than compared with Character AI (from what I tried). I felt I had to manually instruct every time to get a message I would like, which is why I got exhausted using the site.
i THINK its just how the char card is made or what you used for the char prompt. i have only had these issues rarely and it really depends on the character/how the characther is described. also a decent way around it, move on. if you keep going back and forth or sticking around about that topic it will stick to it, so you yourself have to kinda brute force your way through what ever is causing it to trigger.

Trust me... There really isn't any better character ai alternatives except for Chai, Janitor Ai, and polybuzz... Anything else? Probably either don't have the same amount of bots or have worse ai than character ai.
Hm, this platform is really cool. They even have memory management for long stories. Also it allows sus, that's cool too. It's great that there are so many free AI chats with advanced features for sensitive roleplays
Perchance is great because you can add multiple characters to the same chat and tell the AI what character should give the response. You can also choose to respond for them, and there are also a lot of customizable options for their profile pictures. Like you can make them bigger and change the shape from square to circle or whatever you like. I had a role-play sesion with more than 10 characters, some fantasy setup. I created a war scenario, war councils, plots, traitors, vilans, everything. The memory of the chat is acceptable but even if it forgets important stuff you can tell him in the character profile how it should respond at eny point. Things like "You should be scared right now" or "You are hurt", very useful if the character is usually to arogant. You also can update the character description in the middle of the conversation at any point so you can have character development in your chats. It is one of the best sites you can find, but the UI is a bit meh. feels like an old outdated interface made in simple html, but their functionality is top tier.
The responses are literally like 4 lines bro and most of them are so bland. I agree it's filters are less rigid and like a cosmic galaxy of characters to chat to but the experience is shittier than it was in ever.

Agnai for my opinion since Perhcnace is based on a single roleplay text generation model abiut which you know nothing. Agnai on the other hand offers 4 free 8k context memory models name Stheno 3.2 and 3.4, Gemmasutra, and Minimagnum 12B all of which are solid and really good. The Stheno 3.4 and Mini Magnum just gives mind blowing responses sometimes. I guess the people behind Agnai have fine tuned those models for roleplay even better due to which you will see a massive difference between the responses generated by these models on Agnai and the very same models run on sillytavern thriugh Google Colab or locally. You can even use the app key for Cosmos RP model. You have tons of options and variety with Agnai with customization and modification with related to you AI presets. Perchance also has great modification but it is mostly related to the UI and vibes as it let's you add music. I prefer better responses over vibes. Perchance is good, but Agnai's diverse free options capture my heart.
I've used both, a lot. I'd have to say it depends on your own personal preference. They both have their pros and cons. They're both really detailed in their own different ways. You just, need to try it out and see which one you prefer
@ryan_exe8017 Cosmos RP on Agnai doesn't work thay great for me as well. It lags alot. Use Cosmos RP on Risu AI or on Janitor. As for on Agnai, use the MiniMagnum 12B or either Stheno 3.2 or 3.4. Use any out of these three free models available on agnai to stream and they will mat h upto Cosmos in quality. They even have the same context size of 8k.
@ryan_exe8017 that happens sometimes when the server is down for maintenance or there's high traffic. You can try again after some time and that should fix itself or you can get the premium tier subscription for cosmos
He made a video on how to fix that not too long ago. Something about compressing the character's responses and then rating the response five stars and doing that a few more times then the AI will finally recognize that you like those short responses. I don't see why Janitor ai doesn't just work on their model a bit more until it stops making extremely long responses.

It's not the traditional chatting to a bot kind. It's just a story generator AI that you can play and RPG with. Like Inferkit and AI dungeon to some extend
The only problem (for me and probably the others) is that, there is no app, i mean sure we can just google it, but my point here is that, I don't want to google and i want it to be just one click and bam, your there, im sorry, but im still sticking with character. AI since they have an app, if they would add it, that would be my pleasure to use it.
Search it up. Up right you will find three dots one under the other. Click it. You will then find an option; "Add To Home Screen". Click it and it'll give you a shortcut to the site you're in; exactly like the one for apps
Perchance is like a crafting table. So bare but complete at the same time, and the things you need are there for you to use
