The acoustic bass guitar, even inexpensive, is a great if one knows how to use it - which you obviously do.
It's a niche instrument, but an interesting one.

hi Sebastien! the low b is good ... the action on this kind of instruments is the challenge. if you reach the 3.5 mm on the low side , you can't ask for better. cheers
to play like that on a fretless bass...thats next level :D. but its also very nicely improvised. would be a hell of a session night in a jazzclub tbh^^. for example le dreher with carl ratzer (or emily remler^^) on guitar and chet baker on trumpets joe brancato on drums ;D. anyways, i wanted a fretless since long time after playing a bass with frets. the ibanez srh 505f is very expensive for me, but iwasnt sure about the hb acoustics. you amde me tryin it that way for a start.txh

This is an absolutely wonderful bass solo. Absolutely fair play to you. I have really enjoyed this. 2 questions:
1) How did you find this Harley benton out of the box?
2) Are you using any effects on this solo?

Thank you! No effects here ,just a little reverb from the daw. This Bass out of the box had a little issues with the piezo (different volume Through strings) and the bridge needed a little filing in order to reduce the action

If you dont mind me asking, but what scale of strings are you using? I'm taking delivery of the 4 string version of yours, but I want to pre-order flatwound strings before it arrives and I'm unsure what scale length to get (medium or long scale).
Thomann's website says it's a long scale, but others have said it's a medium. ? Very confusing.

I read from the comments that you had a piezo issue with the bass, were you able to fix it yourself ? How did you do it ?
Hi. I took the bass to a luthier. Unfortunately the issue is in the "piezo element"

grazie andrea. sinceramente no perchè ha lastiera cieca e un action più alta di un elettrico (con una tastiera decente, ovviamente). se ti vuoi avvicinare al fretless ma non spendere molto ti consiglio il modello jazz bass sempre Harley Benton

Consigli sul settaggio di questo basso vista l action abbastanza alta?
C'è poco da settare. L'unica ė limare il ponte in plastica e regolare poi di conseguenza il trussrod.

@@lpolli87 i problemi maggiori riscontrati su questi strumenti sono 1}volume delle corde non omogeneo causa il piezo non proprio perfetto 2)action stratosferiche. Fortunatamente entrambi sono risolvibili con una 50ina di euro dal liutaio (se nn sai farlo da solo) Buona musica Lucio
