    Bro. That motor was screaming 😱. These little motors ain't too bad still. It held well if it was a 20 mile ride

    • @mybikes1970
      @mybikes1970  13 дней назад +1

      20 miles, stopping often to let it cool but after 7 straight miles over 35mph and then trying a top speed rip instead of going home like my inner voice told me, ended in failure 😂👍🏾

      @mybikes1970 😂😂 sometimes you have to push the boat out as far as you can. Even 7 miles straight is a stretch for these motors. It's nice to rip em from time to time, it's the breaking down that's the downer

      @mljay3537 That's why I like the design of the KTM50sx. The cooling fins are 2x larger and I can do that entire ride without stopping 🚲💨💨💨💨💨🚲🚲🚲👍🏾😁

      @mybikes1970 yep. And it's because of you why i kept mine, a wise decision 👍🏾😁

      It's a clone but it's still a better quality motor than the others.

    The ride was fun till it happen but I'm glad the motor is fine more oil just a little more oil and probably the motor would not lock up 🌎🌍🙏💯

      I was riding too long and too fast and I knew it was going to lock up. Thankfully no harm done 👍🏾😁

      @antiguaandbarbuda26884-c 13 дней назад

      @mybikes1970 just a observation but the bike was sounds good at going fast that gsa but cooling is the Job for the oil you decreasing the oil the bike still goes fast but too little oil to help cooling internal components ie piston

    • @mybikes1970
      @mybikes1970  13 дней назад

      @antiguaandbarbuda26884-c I usually run 32:1-36:1 oil ratio. These motors just need time to cool off. That's why I love riding the 4 stroke 😁👍🏾🚲❄️❄️❄️❄️

      @antiguaandbarbuda26884-c No BS from me brother. I always run the motors rich because I'm afraid they will blow up lol 👍🏾😆

    Brother amazing job keeping your bike going straight!!! Wow, I didn't know a seize would be that brutal 😅😅😅😅 I. Happy your bike is okay too!! 🎉🎉🎉

      Thanks brother! I knew I shouldn't have done that final pull. Thankfully I didn't fly off the bike lol 👍🏾😁

    Still sounds good, I would wait till i was 180 degrees, but then again mine ran cool, after a pull it would be around 220 which is still way safe, it was Great setup, Does your rpm gauge have a temp censor, Its a great upgrade knowing the temp at a glance 👽👍🏻

    • @michaelbrinks8089
      @michaelbrinks8089 13 дней назад

      Ya, a temperature 🌡️ gauge could stop future seizures..,.If the 1st seizure happens at say 315F. Then you know once you get to about 295F. It's time to let the engine cool down.
      🤔 I'm wondering if using the coldest sparkplug possible & a ceramic coating heat shield on top of the piston might help reduce seizing...Maybe multiple dimples in the piston skirt, might catch some gas/oil in them & keep the skirt better lubricated & cooled.

    • @mybikes1970
      @mybikes1970  13 дней назад

      I'll have to order 2 temp/tach gauges for both Minarellis to avoid future catastrophes 👍🏾😁

      @michaelbrinks8089 13 дней назад +1

      @mybikes1970 My $25 Runleader temp gauge has lasted a couple years now. But I take the battery 🔋 out in winter.... I wonder if 2 small lubrication holes in the piston skirt under the rings, on each side of the exhaust port. Like the chainsaw guys add to help keep the ex port side oiled & cooled might help.

      @michaelbrinks8089 I've used temperature gauges before and none have lasted longer than 1 yr... I usually know when to stop running hard when the motor is starting to get overheated. That was just me not listening to myself 😅👍🏾

      @ I don't see the coating on top of the piston helping any 🤷‍♂👽
