  • I received this light from Home Depot, but it is available many places.
    This is a great LED flashlight that uses the M12 battery platform. It has a similar feel of weight and quality that you experience from the big Maglites. The aluminum case has a solid feel.
    The light is really bright and holds a tight beam out to a great distance. It shines pretty far out there even on low setting. It also has a strobe feature that I could completely do without, but a lot of people want that feature.
    The lens slides back and forward to control the spot and flood features. The focusing is really nice because you never see the square led in the light beam.
    It is supposed to last 1.5 hours on High, I experienced 1hr 34 minutes on high before it started flashing to let me know it was running low on power. It is supposed to last 2.5 hours on low, but I only got about 2.25 hours on low.
    It is a great flashlight, but I am not convinced it is worth the current asking price of $99 for the light and $149 for the kit. There are a lot of lights for half the price doing the same thing.

    Nice review. I'd consider one if I found it on sale. IMO this is the kinda thing you give away for a few bucks if you buy a combo kit or something.

      Yup, too much to spend alone, but good in a combo kit.

    i agree with your final verdiict. It is not worth that much money.
    My everyday main flashlight is a Fenix RC11 witch is much smaller but has longer runtimes and higher output at more or less half the price. The quality in materials fit and finish is also better.

    Very nice review mate. You mentioned Milwaukee's other spotlight; were you talking about the M12 Trueview Spotlight? How do the two compare in terms of brightness? Milwaukee rate it as having a beam distance of 640m!

    • @FernbarkFrist
      @FernbarkFrist  7 лет назад

      This flashlight is 800 lumens on high, and the spotlight is 750, so they will be really close. I don't have the spotlight to give a personal comparison of the two. Big difference is going to be that you can adjust the focus of the flashlight for spot/flood, the form factor is different, and the price is really different. I would say this light shines the advertised distance.

      Fernbark Frist thanks for the reply, I'll have to check them out in store. I've got a sliding focus flashlight, so I might save some money and just get the spotlight. I got a free M12 battery with one of my M18 packages and want to put it to use.

    I wonder if you could use it for a handle bar mounted bike light.

      I have used flashlights as bike lights before. For city riding that would work. For MTB, you'd have to ensure this doesn't go flying off.

    Agreed. A little pricey for being what it is. As someone who has their foot into the M12 ecosystem this would be an enticing item at maybe $79.99. @ $99.99, pass. The kit makes no sense to anyone really; no one not in the system will pass right over this and if you are already team red you probably do NOT need another 1.5mah battery with a charger limited to 12 Volt. I do want the M12 Rover, though. I'm a new construction electrician occasionally doing remodel work and I have a few of the 6-cell batteries that I rarely use (pack-in items). Good review.

      I did a review on the Rover too, it is awesome. Milwaukee has packaged this flashlight with the new Hardlines knife that makes it a more attractive buy.

    That's nuts. That light isn't even close to be worth $100. $50-30 would be far more reasonable.

      I agree. They like to bundle it with other stuff. Then it is a decent deal. I have used this light for a while, and it is a favorite flashlight.

    • @FernbarkFrist
      @FernbarkFrist  6 лет назад +1

      It is pretty spendy. It is really for people who already have the M12 battery platform and lots of money. You can find it in a package deal sometimes at a reasonable price.

    Milwaukee is not the best for flashlight take a tip from someone who owns some of the best flashlight you can buy if you got questions just ask me my brightest flashlight is 32,000 lumens

    • @FernbarkFrist
      @FernbarkFrist  6 лет назад +5

      How many of your best flashlights use the M12 battery system? Sure there are better flashlights, but this video is about the M12 battery system. Also, 32000 lumens is not the best flashlight for every situation. Typical comment for someone with no videos and no subscribers.

    • @wesleyflores1085
      @wesleyflores1085 6 лет назад

      Fernbark Frist well it has many setting 120,500,1500,5000,13,000,32000 lumens and my flashlight use 18650 li-ion rechargeable battery that just my brightest flashlight I got other ones that are less bright and pocket size

    • @FernbarkFrist
      @FernbarkFrist  6 лет назад +3

      Once again, and this is the important point, this video is for people who own the M12 battery system and are looking for other tools that use the M12 battery system. It is not a video about the best or brightest flashlight you can buy. If you watched the video to the end, I even say it isn't worth the money.
