Nice video Reptiles. .... good pet Bearded Dragons. 👍👍👍
Great setup Coop, I want to make one Bearded Dragons enclosure bioactive as I think it would look amazing!
This is so neat!! I’m getting my first beardie next week. I wish I had access to those plants like you do haha. My husband and I visited Australia from the US this past December during the wildfires. Some things were shut down, but we absolutely fell in love with Australia and the people we met ❤️ especially kangaroo island!!
Did you end up getting one ?
Don’t copy this enclosure and don’t use sand at all please
another fantastic video. That ProT5 unit makes a real difference. If you wanted to further increase visible light you could add in a JungleDawn-LED Bar which would link directly into the ProT5. This would vastly increase light further and inspire another level of naturalistic behaviour. Well done a great video!
she is beautiful, thanks for uploading
Glad you enjoyed it
Looks awesome! My beardie (also a Pogona Henrylawsoni) has just come out of brumation also. I redid her set-up a few days ago, and like your beardie, mine loves her big branches too. Beardies are awesome. I miss her so much when she goes into brumation!
Awesome! yeah its always exciting when they finally wake up
Do the grassy plants have to be sterilized before they are put in the bearded dragons tank?
Just a question. Are you worried about potential impaction from the sand? Even with tong feeding they lick around the enclosure. I’m only asking as I may switch to loose substrate but I don’t want to risk impaction.
Look us in Australia like to use sand or a mix cause we know its the way and our beardies never die from impaction but in America since beardies arent native they dont know the natural habitat that much and winge about it. If you want to use sand then go for it
Sand is safe, just don't use calcium sand.
@@Mck1mm its not about that if u look at the avg life span in the wild its 5 to 8 years and in captivity its 10 to 15+ sand gets in there holes and gives them infections and impaction
@@perkysugar1882 sand is t safe stop spreading false info
@Yafi but sub does take it down alot
Where’s the plant from? Its the exact look I’m
Going for . I’m in Melbourne aus can’t recall the plant bug I’ve seen it lol
Nice build and setup! I'll have to try this style (on a larger scale) for my P. vittaceps
Thanks Alex sounds good!
No dont
Such a Lucky dragon
Also how do you make sure the plants you find are safe for the reptiles and not carrying unhealthy stuff
usually washed them down with f10 and water
Ok thanks
@@zxrzFC this guy is stupid Don’t listen to him sand is very bad for them
@@user-yo7jk5bu3s yeah ik now
This came out awesome! Ima try it out soon :)
Dont
What type of plant is that mate
Hi Coop looks awesome mate. Do u think Eucy mulch mix would be ok for a central bearded dragon? Cheers mate
I love lizards
What kind of rock is that
how do u have set up the heater? with the tempreture meter
I love it
Do you put a food and water bowl or just feed them as you go
Up to you
What exactly are you using for substrate, and what kind of maintenance does it need? I’m planning out a beardie build at the moment. Thanks!
Just sand, soil and some coir peat. Just spot clean and do complete changes when needed
Coop's Reptiles where is the sand and the soil feom
@@mvgikk1969 dont buy it
@@mvgikk1969 ik it’s old but you can find them at bunnings or really any hardware store
Is that a 100 cm x 50 cm x 50 cm pvc enclosure? Btw the setup looks really nice
I think its 110cm and melamine, thanks!
Thanks
Have you ever had any issues with impaction from the sand??
it can cause dangerous problems , not worth the risk using sand
impaction is only a problem if the lizard is already unhealthy or the husbandry is wrong. They can pass bones let alone a few grains of sand
@@gasolinadeaviao3789 It is worth the risk. It allows them to practice burrowing which is a very natural behavior for them. It is technically animal cruelty to not allow an exotic animal to practice natural behaviors.
@@scatman9166 no it isn’t also impaction is only one of many problems
@@dangerousish7837 its not worth the risk it can kill them
Mad, In the next few days I'm going to start making a new enclosure for my bearded dragon. Thanks for some inspiration😁🤘
Idiot
@@user-yo7jk5bu3s ?
Nice setup but not a lot of floor space
Its a bad setup lmao 😂
Just so you know that’s actually a Rankin’s Dragon
Its a Pogona henrylawsoni. Many different common names.
I he on sand he get impacted
No, if you choose the right sand and care them correctly. Stop saying that sand is bad!
Sand is not bad for them its better the carpet because hey can dig so its fine for them
@@amlouz1 so what if they can dig do you want ur dragon to die or something all lose particle substrate is bad for them
Sand is bad for them
No, if you use the right sand.
@@perkysugar1882 most of the time it is
@@perkysugar1882 ok i just searched calcium sand is bad for them which is the one u suggest
Its not
@@amlouz1 it is
