I'm a CNA at a long term care facility and I always sing this song too my residents. It always brings a smile too their face and reminds them of better times
When I lived on Oahu, I listened to Don Ho back in 1966-1968. Then my dad retired after 20 years in the US Navy. Don Ho was known as the icon of Hawaii.
In 1969, my husband and I saw Don Ho while my husband was on a 1 week R & R (Rest & Relaxation) from Vietnam. It was a magical time for us as he had been in Vietnam for 9 months and had to return to finish his 1 year tour and then another 1 year tour. Mr. Ho was a beautiful man and singer. We have pictures of our visit with him. Will NEVER forget it and his kindness! R.I.P. Mr. Ho! 🕊️. “TINY BUBBLES”. 🍾 🥂 🫧🫧 🥰 ❤️
I watched a good friend who is a music therapist play this for a veteran with dementia. As soon as she began singing his eyes lit up and he began to sing along. It is one of the best memories of my life.
I've read that when people with dementia hear music from their youth, it actually reverses cognitive decline and they sometimes start getting their memories back.
We used to call cadence to this when I was in the military. Didn't know it was actual song till now. Maybe that's what that veteran remembered aswell. Great song overall!
I love Don-Ho...What an amazing man....I can only just imagine what it was like back in the 1970's to see him live at some nice small setting in Hawaii.True classic 1970's Hawaii was really something...A golden age that is long gone...but not forgotten..
I was11 when I first heard it. At a lake with my friend and her family. Her mom was in the kitchen making lunch and this beautiful song was on the radio. Summertime memories I’ll never forget.❤
I bought this song on cd for my brother's backyard luau... then later my 1st born baby boy would blast this and dance and dance! (don ho passed 4 days before my son's 1st bday, I've just learned, btw) now this song just evokes all kinds of emotions in me... I'm laughing thru tears, here. this song just equals good times, good memories.
My dad was a performing musician. He would play this song on his ukulele and invite me and my brother up on stage to sing with him (we were very young kids at the time) it was a crowd favorite and will forever make me think of my dad. Can't wait to share it with my kids as they get older
When I was little my sisters had to play this 45 over & over to get me to take a nap...this became my nickname that my brothers & sisters called me...when I got married my family sang this song to me..love it
This song was my mom wedding song and I have this song in my juckbox on vinyl 45 rpm thank God I have a juckbox in my apartment and I play this song on birthday and this song makes me cry because I am thinking about her and I just know that she's in heaven with juses.
Kept hearing this lovely song on hawalli 5 o search the Internet til i found it this is a wonderful song and a great singer such a pity its only now in 2022 is the first time I've ever heard it
I used to have the 45 of Tiny Bubbles. I saw him on TV back in the 1960s when I was a kid. This song always brings a smile remembering that simple songs with bright melodies are the best.
After hearing tiny bubbles and looking at the pictures of the Islands of HAWAII: NOW! I see why DON HO ( was ) AND OBAMA ARE SO COOL AND COLLECTIVE; Can you imagine how the BRAIN and our D,N.A perhaps can be? IF, we were born and raised in such a PARADISE, instead of an environment of concrete and wires. EVEN if we lived in the suburbs of the main land it, would still be wires and concrete. THANKS FOR THE POSTING: DON HO HAS A GREAT VOICE & PERSONALITY AND TINY BUBBLES IS A BIG GLASS OF BIG BUBBLES OF CHAMPAGNE OF A SONG AND CULTURE.
Saw him at the Outrigger in 1999. He called out the name of a man and asked him if he knew his daughter had sent him a message that said her Dad sang Tiny Bubbles in the shower every morning and claimed he sang it better than Don Ho. He had him come up on stage and sing it with him. Great showman.
Growing up we played this song over & over while putting up the Christmas Tree. We had the bubble lights on the tree and around the windows, making tiny bubbles. This song was so suited for that time year, never a Christmas tree went up with out this...........
Don Ho had a soft, masculine voice. This video was filmed in 1967. With him Hawaiian music became much more popular. His songs like "Hawaiian Wedding Song" and "My Little Grass Shack" became very popular. His voice was similar to the famous Perry Como.
I always enjoy listening to this song way back when I was growing up. I would have like very much to been able to see him when I was station over in Hawaii in the late 70's but never got that chance.
I never knew this song was Don Ho's. The first time I heard this this song was in 1986 when u was in the Army basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. The drill sergeant used to sing it in cadence. But instead of the word wine, the drill sergeant used the word beer!!! And since I didn't drink alcohol, I used to say the word milk instead! Lol!!!
Always watched his TV show. While in Hawaii I took in his show at the club. His 3 year old daughter song this song with him while sitting on the piano. His wife had brought her in to say Good night. Brought the house down.
My woodworkign teacher use to say this randomly all the time and after 15 years i finally searched it up. Though he used to say "tiny bubble, in the water"
The Bahooka restaurant in Rosemead CA (about 25 min from where this film was take at the Palace in Hollywood) was a GREAT Polynesian/Hawaiian place.... Like Spud said below, this era had lots of Hawaiian influence, especially in So Cal.... good times, good times!!!
Beautiful! We love Hawaiien songs! Don Ho included! He put Hawaii on the map!!! . Our daughter, Erika Paul, The Jazz Lady (on youTube) sings this song for my Birthday Every year and plays the Ukekele, that she learned by visiting Hawaii often. We even made a relax, casual video of it and posted it on RUclips. What else to celebrate a big event, than enjoying the "Tiny Bubbles" in the Champagne?
Wonderful Song ! Love it ! An old favourite ! It's great to see this live version, he sings it beautifully ! Fantastic Video ! Thank you so much for sharing this exquisite video ! 5*****+
I'm a CNA at a long term care facility and I always sing this song too my residents. It always brings a smile too their face and reminds them of better times
This comment made me smile. I sang Chiquita Banana for our patients at long-term acute care.
haha, i sang this all the time as well, its what made me decide to look it up here
They should only play this song at interrogations to elicit a confession.
You just made me smile. Do you thin k it's contagious? ~NaoH
@@josephtabar492 Nope. It's a Small World works much better.
This song was the first dance my parents had together. Today is their 49th anniversary.
thats sweet here wishing them 49+ more years of happiness
Happy 50th to your parents ❤

My parents saw him in the mid-70's. Mom got home and told ALL her friends about Don Ho. 😍
I was11 when I first heard it. At a lake with my friend and her family. Her mom was in the kitchen making lunch and this beautiful song was on the radio. Summertime memories I’ll never forget.❤
I remember my grandpa would sing this a lot when I was little. This song will always remind of him. I hope he is in a better place in heaven.
Love this song and all music that’s considered “Old peoples music”.
I heard this song as a child, simple, straightforward, and nostalgic. There has never been another Hawaiian idol like Don Ho.
L
Never heard of this song until just now...from a patient who sang it to me. Best day ever!
I’m so glad you got to hear this masterpiece.

Which do you like best? The man, the glass, or the voice? ;-)
Don Ho, I'll always remember meeting you in 1987 during my first visit to Hawaii. God Bless and, Rest in Eternal Peace. Aloha
As a bonehead teenage rock guitarist, I remember hating this song. How very wrong I was. The most beautiful Hawaiian pop song.
We grow up and tastes change.
I was metalhead, I thought the same thing, now I know better.
❤ my dad would play this for me on my birthday & make me feel so loved. I still cry to this day!
I was watching an episode of the Brady bunch when they went to Hawaii and here I am. He had a beautiful voice!!
Wow, I'd forgotten what a fine voice Don Ho had. He sure sounds a lot like Dino. Melodious, just a beautiful voice.
it sure was a Beautiful voice
My dad was a performing musician. He would play this song on his ukulele and invite me and my brother up on stage to sing with him (we were very young kids at the time) it was a crowd favorite and will forever make me think of my dad. Can't wait to share it with my kids as they get older
This was the song my wife of 56 years danced to as our first song at our wedding in upstate NY. Memories.
Met him in 1972. Beautiful man.
When I was little my sisters had to play this 45 over & over to get me to take a nap...this became my nickname that my brothers & sisters called me...when I got married my family sang this song to me..love it
My son Paul grew up listening to Don Ho growing up, and still enjoys it today. Hi Paul, big hug from your Mamushka.
My Grama and I used to sing this when I was a little girl. She played Don Ho, Kenny Rogers, Engelbert Humperdinck, etc. So many memories.
Lovely song sung by handsome Don with a beautiful large glass of wine. Dreamy voice. Love love love it.
Its about champagne and toasting to love. And a good song for New Year's Eve.

It just hit me damn, I remember this !! wow on the TV back in 1967 the good ole days wish it was still !!!!
Unless you're a Red Sox fan. '67 was a rough year for Red Sox fans.
I have loved this song ever since I was a little girl, it makes me happy....
It still makes me happy and I'm 57
Was searching for a local car wash called Tiny Bubbles and ended up here and I LOVE IT
Kandice Pieterse
Now that's funny!
Don Ho was a pimp!
Good Heavens! I wish I had been fortunate enough to see him in concert before his passing. A true legend! Gone, but never forgotten!!!
I played this for my wife as we walked by his statue at the international marketplace in Honolulu

The hijackers of 9/11 would have confessed sooner, if they had been forced to listen to this tune.
