പണ്ട്കാലത്ത് നമ്മൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്ന മണ്ണെണ്ണ വിളിക്കുകളുടെയും ചൂട്ടുകറ്റയുടെയും കഥ | Kerosene lamps

ആകാശത്തെ കീറിമുറിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് വൈദ്യുതി കമ്പികള്‍ തലങ്ങും വിലങ്ങും പാകുന്നതിനു മുമ്പ് നാട്ടിലാകെ വെളിച്ചം പകര്‍ന്നിരുന്നത് മണ്ണെണ്ണ വിളക്കുകളും എണ്ണവിളക്കുകളുമായിരുന്നു. വിദേശികള്‍ വരുന്നതിനു മുമ്പ്, മണ്ണെണ്ണ ഇല്ലാതിരുന്ന കാലത്ത് എള്ളെണ്ണ, നിലവിളക്ക് കത്തിക്കുന്നതിനും, മറ്റു കല്‍വിളക്കുകളും കുത്തുവിളക്കുകളും മരവിട്ടി എണ്ണ ഉപയോഗിച്ചുമാണ് കത്തിച്ചിരുന്നത്.
