Cracking cars. Got a 2.7L auto and it is very good. The power is fantastic, especially compared to our 2L Subaru Forester. Good 4X4 too. Mine is an older model and can tow 3.5T. Have towed a few tractors on our farm and it pulls a lot better than I expected.
fuel consumption?
Gagan Dhillon at best 30 miles to the gallon compared to the subaru which does upper 30s to the gallon. I live in the hills, away from the towns.

How long does a Ssangyoung Rexton engine last / run ? i know its a Mercedes engine in them and i heard people run those up to 1 million kilomiter mark , taxies i who drive alot i hear they change them at around 600.000km , but how long does the rexton last ?
Janah I know the Rexton 2 2.7 XDI with 700kkm without any problem.
I have just clocked 279000 km around Australia mine is a 2006 model

Rexton. Murano thirsty in fuel and has transmission issues with higher mileage. Ssanyong will have better resale too

It's obviously the rexton, those old muranos will probably need a transmission replacement if it has more than 120,000km
