The "intelligence"-quote is an answer to the the question "How do you explain the fact that you have become almost more famous and popular than a president?". The "Military men are stupid"-quote seems to be from one book, whose authors disliked Kissinger and got the quote from Kissinger's political opponent, who was told by "someone" that Kissinger said this.

Uhh. Duh. For starters, he ordered a kidnapping in Chile which resulted in a death. The Secretary of State doesn't have that power (I know, shocking that our leaders can't just order executions and stuff, but that crazy rule of law thing, you know to prevent tyrants and stuff, tends to get in the way). Best Final Judgement I've seen in a while. I am always amazed at the fact Kissenger remains a free man after his effect on S.E Asia and S. America. I am currently working in Laos and the insane number of UXO (unexploded ordinance) remains a threat for the rural Lao, Hmong and Khmu populations. Some people have no comprehension of the effects their countries have had on the world around them. Coming from the UK, I am very aware of the cruelties we created in recent history.
